Normally I wouldn't put this up this early since the Jan Patch isn't out yet but I think the Feb Patch will be a base game changer ahead of the Gamepack.
Guess
1 Cars This also includes Garages.
2 Story Progression
3 Romanced Themed
These are the only things I think are big enough to equal toddlers and unisex changes in CAS.
We're sadly only getting 1 GP this quarter so where that romance themed coming from ?
I'm not sure how usable cars will work with current game engine, also there was a survey for Cars GP so I don't think they'll patch that for free
But I'm expecting something big, but not as big as toddlers, some valentine day items is expected also..
Hopefully more NPCs such as the Social Worker, Firefighters, Police Officers and Burglars (even though I think the gurus have somewhat confirmed they're not going to return)

Romance Themed could be added for free like toddlers
Why would you even start this thread before we actually get January's patch? Getting a little ahead of yourself aren't you?
Cause of a possible big update to the base game next month.
What evidence (not rumor or wishful thinking) do you have that there is a "big update to the base game" coming?
We got the unisex CAS 2 years ago and toddlers last year both very big base game changers. Also Grant seemed to imply a big update is coming to the base game in 2018.
Seemed to imply? Did he or didn't he? And Unisex was not a BIG UPDATE TO THE BASE GAME. Update, yes, big, no. I don't see a lot of talk about sims wearing any genders clothes. And toddlers were planned from the start but could not be implemented in time for release. So, they continued to work on them until they were the best version they could be. Then and only then, were they added.
You need to stop with all the misinformation you put out. It's not facts but wishful thinking.

Can I ask the source of that please? Genuinely curious.

Why can’t we get a big update this month? We don’t know anything yet.
GP comes out Next month. If you remember toddlers came right before the Vampire GP.
Who says the Game Pack is coming out next month? Has this been confirmed? anywhere?
The only thing we know is that we get the Laundry SP, and the Game Pack both in ''Winter''.
Winter is all the way until March 20th, so yes, it can also come out in March, and does not have to come out in February.
I get your excitement, Cat, but like others also mentioned; don't spread wishful thinking around as facts, because you know how that goes here on the forums..
i don't really find cars a necessity in Sims 4 as we just have to go through a loading screen to get to any lot. I can see them more of just used as a decoration
Cars are never, ever going to added for transportation in S4. There is NO transportation in this version, period. Cars might be added for skill leveling in mechanics like the work bench is for handiness. Cars could be objects for woohoo, making out, dating, listening to the radio, etc. They could use a car as an imagination object for kids or toddlers like the toddler play tunnel/slide/ball pit are for pretending to be an astronaut or pirate. They could pretend to be a racecar driver. Cars would make great objects for different things but one of those things is not transportation.

They could click on the car and there would be an option like "drive to another lot". But they wouldn't even get out of the place the loading screen would just come up. It's the only way I see them doing cars. Static objects with that option. O maybe a drive through neighborhood but it's just a rabbit hole and you don't actually see them drive. Hell TS1 had cars/carpools.
I just wish they'd change the travel icon from a plane to a car. It makes no sense as a plane.

Now, now, Danny. You shouldn't pass off conjecture as fact. You know how people on the forum are.

Race Against the Clock: Can your elder sim turn back the clock before their time runs out?
If we were to get a big game changer patch, I would want them to improve upon how sims react and respond to situations in their environment. Examples: witnessing affairs, death, how other sims treat them and how they act back to them.
Or weather and seasons would be nice. (Wishful thinking)

Definitely, need better reactions. I hate how sims are so oblivious.
I would be fine if they patched in slow dancing. I'm still hopeful for a Finding Love GP in the future. Maybe some CAS items for Valentine's Day or some new sleepwear/lingerie, some candles that enhanced a romantic moodlet, and cuddling, and I would be happy with that.
Honestly, last year I got excited for 'February', because of the games birthday; and they did nothing exciting at all. So, don'tI'll worryFebruary patch until the day of. I don'tit'll be something game changing, though. *just trying to keep my hopes low*. Possibly just more CAS things (which I like CAS items), but frankly, I'm wanting something for builders and I'm not a builder by any means (and yes, I know they just got some new roofs), but terrain tools, or a world creator, or something BIG like that would be great for a 18 year celebration!
But I don't know. I like the stuff we got with the new menu look and what not but 17 years should have been a bigger deal, but it didn't feel like it.
However, what I would like to see though in a patch this year is a fix to the traits/emotions + the reactions like someone mentioned. I don't like it that they don't react to bad situations.. sure they stomp off mad after an argument/fight; then two seconds later they're happy and talking to the person like it never happened. I'm trying to create a story and the two sisters are supposed to hate each other, they're actually enemies (completely red bar + claimed as enemies) and I want them to *really* despise each other.. instead of just 'say they do'. Because I need them to hate being in the same room with one another and I need them to want to throw their drinks in their faces, or slap them, or flick their nose, etc. I want them to be angry when in the same room with each other.
So, definitely want to see an overhaul of the system..
Speaking of patches, when do they normally come out? Is it on a specific day of the week? Do you think the Jan patch will come this week? I don’t remember waiting longer than a week or so for a patch to come out.
I would like a patch to add wants and fears, better memories, and likes and dislikes. Maybe add relationships like step-parents and siblings and cousins and grandparents. Also patching in different stair types would be great.
