Adopted pets/collars

I was wondering how do you get, find, put on collars on pets that you adopt? Unlike when create a pet theres the option of collars and clothes and such. but when I adopted my two cats I didn't see any options for collars or clothes or anything. So that's why I'm asking. I know when you adopt they come as kittens or puppies. So do I just need to wait tell their adults or something?

If you adopt a kitten or a puppy, you'll have to wait until they become adults. After that, have sim plan outfit (or click on Change sim interaction), choose the grown-up pet in CAS and then you can put on the collars and clothing.
If you adopt an adult or an elder pet, you can immediately put on the clothing (sometimes you can get a pet with clothing already on).

The collars are in accessories when they turn of age.
