    • Autonomous Berate Ignorance

    Hello! I was wondering if there was a way via a mod or something to stop sims from autonomously berating ignorance. It's really starting to grind on me that my sims will go around insulting each-other with this action regardless of their personality and relationship with the other sim.

      Another option is... not gain favor with Nerds? I believe this interaction is a Nerd unlocked one.

      It is incredibly easy to gain favor with the nerds though. It's probably the easiest of the social groups to climb imo since a lot of it is tied with electronics you'd have around the home which sims will autonomously use.

      And yes, I could leave out those objects in my home, but I don't want to do that, so mod it is.

      That's weird, because despite having a gaming console in the house, a computer (for writing police reports on), a bookshelf with every comic in it (door's locked against the roommate), and a nerd roommate I find it's impossible to keep any nerd favor with Sunrise. She'd much rather clean or party in her fairy castle then talk with her roommate or play video games.

      @aftermidnight I used to have a big problem with autonomous berate ignorance too, as all my sims seem to end up nerds. The best option in my opinion is to download NRaas Retuner. I found it very useful as you can change autonomous behaviour by social interactions or by objects.

      I agree, I had a huge problem with this interaction and had to get the mod to fix that, it was getting pretty bad in my family I was playing with everyone berating everyone.

      I love University EP, but it came with a lot of less than desirable autonomous actions, thankfully we have mods.

      If I remember correctly, having the genius trait also has the option to 'berate ignorance'.

      At first, it was annoying to me but then after paying closer attention as to why my Sims kept using that interaction, then it started making sense. I now take it to mean when a Sim is annoyed at another for thinking they didn't know what they were up to or something like that. Probably has another meaning as well. Sims can be quite sneaky. Not even the players, for the most part, are even aware of it. :p

      I've had to disable autonomous berate ignorance in retuner shortly after installing UL and was also disabling the autonomous protests at that time because they were also driving me insane.

      I had a genius Sim berate another genius Sim and it was his girlfriend, so that was unexpected.

      I found NRaas Retuner helpful in disabling annoying interactions like berate ignoance.
