Can't go home because "a vampire is breaking in." «123...Next Go

My Sim, a half-alien, could not go home following the Spice Festival because "You cannot do this while a vampire is breaking in!" What does that mean? Does it mean a Vampire was breaking into his house? He lives in OS. I also could not travel with the map. Same reason given. When I tried to "Exit" the game it said I would be leaving it in an unstable state.

I finally solved the problem by having my Sim "Mind Control" a Sim in the vicinity that was obviously vampire - he was zooming around as a bat - to "Sleep." But I don't understand what was happening. Is this a bug? Did I miss something? Was his house being broken into? His wife was home. The only thing to "break into" at the Spice Festival is the karaoke bar.

Yep there's a small event that can happen where a vampire will sneak in and try to get a drink. It sounds like your event bugged out and wouldn't complete.

I was able to get home by setting my club's hangout to "any club member's house". Then when I chose "start gathering", I was given the option to go home. Now I am home and can save.

I had the same issue. This worked for me: Close the game by returning to the Main Menu and saving. Re-open the saved game and go directly to the household lot. If all members of the household are stuck on the bugged community lot select "Travel Here" on the household lot from the map and the select your sims from the menu.

These solutions have not worked for me! The club just gathers where I am (I'm on my retail lot) and I can't exit to main menu and save because "the game is not in a state where saving is possible" or something like that. This is the second time this has happened.

Even deleting the sim that's breaking in doesn't stop the event. My vampire sim is currently stuck outside in the daytime, this is the second time this has happened. So irate right now.

Other simmers have posted that after their sims started taking to a NPC vampire on the lot, they then were able to travel home. Try doing that and see if it helps.

Me too at the romance festival. No Vampires left to talk with. Had to exit and there was no option to save but I had a save one hour before the festival ended so I exited and went back to that. Pressed 'Me Too' on the EA bug report thread. Ran the festival to the end doing mostly the same stuff and went home as normal with no bug.

Nope. I tried that both times, before I even posted this. Talking does nothing, making them leave does nothing, can't enter "manage worlds", can't save and exit, can't do anything. Club gathering just brings everyone to the lot, regardless of where the club meetingplace is set.

I have found nothing that helps. There has to be a way, through mods or something, to actually cancel this event somehow, but I haven't found a a way. Too early yet I suppose.

I've had this bug several times I was able to go home by clicking the vampire on the lot, and going into "Actions" and clicking "Invite to" I was able to select my house from there, and travel home. Hope this helps.

That happens after dark a vampire will try to break into your house while you're sims is sleeping to feed it happened to me twice a week on my residential lot so now i lock my doors so if you are on a community lot then they are trying to break in on you're residential lot if anybody's at home that's what eill happen so it's not a bug i assume my husband just got bitten while sleeping

But this isn't open world and home lot is not the active lot so this message and freeze shouldn't even be a thing (happen).

I had this bug two times. I could fix it by calling a random Sim from my Sims' friends list via cellphone and invite him to join me on the current lot. After this the ban was lifted, even if the invited Sim declined. I don't know if this was really a fix or coincidence.

I had the same problem when all of my sims (4 vampires) were stuck on a lot. I used one of the powers to command the NPC vampire to leave & my sims could go home after that.

I thought this bug was fixed in a previous patch? How come I've just experienced it? In the end I had to exit without saving just lost a lot of progress in my save ;_;
