There are plenty of things I want in the game (esp. some customization around the rules the world works under), but it seems mostly a return to form after my colossal disappointment in the direction TS3 took. I get that the direction isn't what a lot of you wanted, but also try to understand that other people do like that direction and that they may have suffered through their own disappointments in previous content. Not signed.
I've lost count on all the times I've voiced my opinion together with MANY other simmers here in the forums and we were disregarded.
I'm also tired of explaining myself over and over about why I don't understand and why I really don't like the new 'vision'.
It doesn't matter how many times we say it or how many we are I'm afraid.
They see what they want to see and for them we are a minority that overreacts and just doesn't get it. As sad as it is.

True. But it's pretty apparent The Sims Team doesn't listen. They'll do what they do regardless and act surprised when asked about it.
they don't need to listen
but they have to endure
which is hard to do, especially after nearly two years
but exactly that is the strength of simmers, endurance
family players, rotational players, legacy players, builders, world builders ...
to be not only able to play that way but even enjoy it means to have stamina
if there was a valve to this franchise, an alternative
we wouldn't need to complain, we would just go
& we would support another company & remind them to make a game to play
EA is very very lucky this franchise has no direct competition so far
but there are games meantime which offer portions of what this franchise was about initially
on that track will EA ruin what they have
this was said years ago already, in the beginning of TS4
either they change their course or this franchise will crumble

TS4 has removed the main reasons to play this franchise

I don't know about the others, but I'm pretty sure I've made it blatantly apparent around here that I don't really care about that.
I'm not exactly happy with the sims 4 but I don't feel the need to complain about it every 5 mintues posting it everywhere trying to make others feel miserable about their game.

I think the folks who don't like the game can tolerate a few dissenters and being reminded that not everyone agrees with them.
