Unable to complete Postcard Collection

One of the sims in my household was currently working on the postcard collection and she only had one more left to find only whenever I tell her to find a pen pal I get the notification saying that she's posted on the forums but she can no longer check for replies. I've tried getting rid of the old computer and buying them a new one to see if that helps but there's no change. I normally wouldn't care but I'm only one away from having them all so I really would like to complete it. Has anyone experienced this or do you know how to fix it?

Hello.
You are able to get each of the postcards from debug on buiild/buy mode.
Type in bb.showhiddenobjects into the cheat box.
Then go to build/buy mode and type in debug into the search box. Then you can look for the postcards.
There was another simmer that was having the same issue that they couldn't get the last postcard.

But maybe you can try with another household member?

I had another sim try to find the postcards and he too didn't have the option to check pen pal replies

@rosemow Thankyou for the suggestion about getting it in buy debug but i want to make sure there's no other way for me to get the postcard without cheating first. If I cheat in my game for anything I will no longer enjoy playing them and I'm actually having fun with this family something I haven't had with sims for at least 6 months now.

For me it worked to use another Sim. Has your other Sim been collecting cards too or did they just start out ?

I had my other sim start to try & find pen pals because my original sim who did it couldn't get replies and when he tried he couldn't get replies either. I was thinking maybe I could try "repairing the game" like in origin but I don't really want to mess up my save file.

Do you have a third Sim you could try ?

It IS a bug so I don't how much repairing the game will help.

Backup your game in any case before you do. Moving out and back in can also help.

I am sorry that you are having this issue.
Other simmers are having the same issue, so it is not cheating to get the postcard from debug.

Repairing the game won't mess up your save game. Back up your saves folder that is in your sims 4 folder and place the copy on another part of the computer just as a precaution before doing it.
