For some reason I can't open up the installer on windows 10, the AutoRun doesn't work. I've go Origin up and running but the game itself won't install. What should I do?
Hello.
Log in to origin. Click the origin label at the top of the screen. Then on the drop down list, click " redeem product code" Then type in your Sims 4 product code. Then go to your My Games section, click on the Sims 4 picture and download/install from there.
I'm installing it through disks. It's hasn't even gone onto my Origin yet. The disk just won't run. Are there any settings I should change please? Thank you for your help.

By typing in the product code, it will then be put into your My Games section and you can then download and install it from there. If you are having issues using the disc, it may be easier for you to do it that way.

I know that you can get the game this way, but it's almost 10GB, and to be honest, It's silly that I can't just install it straight from the disk. I had created an Origin account, and installed Origin. Then I open the setup.exe, that's good and stuff, but when I click 'Continue', it just closes and doesn't do anything.

Hello,
When you click on continue, there should be a box that comes up where you can sign into your origin accoint and type in the product code to activate the game on your account. It is steps 2, 3 and 4 on this link thread. http://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/installing-from-dvd/
If the box isn't coming up, come out of the set up. Shut down your computer, then restart the computer and then try doing it again and see if that helps.

Hello @hazelvenom .
Try shutting down your computer completely. Then restart the computer again, launch Origin and see if that helps.
If origin continues to say that it is updating and the updating is taking a lengthy time, try uninstalling and reinstalling origin.
I don't know what's going on I tried everything. I have two blank tabs open with nothing showing up one says activate the Sims 4 but that's it nothing else is coming up. I've wanted this game for so long now I finally got it and now it won't work I am almost in tears someone please help.

Hello @Skylord_Jojo
Are you installing from a DVD ? Do you have an origin account?
This link explains about installing from a DVD http://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/installing-from-dvd/
Try logging into your origin account, and that may help to bring up the screen that you can type your product code in.
Origin will to everything for you once you give them the product code. it's all different down. all done through Origin. and they will update the game for you, all of this is a must do.
we'll give you a full refund. Just make sure you make your request within 24 hours after you first launch the game, within seven days from your date of purchase, or within seven days from the game's release date if you pre-ordered, whichever comes first.

I tried but It won't let me get to step 4 and I'm stuck on offline and will not let me switch it and I already tried the proxy trick multiple times and still does not work.

Hello
Try shutting down your computer completely. Restart the computer. Log into Origin. Click on the origin label on the left hand side, and click go online from the drop down menu. Then put the DVD in and try to install and activate the game.

Hello @hannahygirl
Try checking to see if your internet security program is causing issues. Try disabling it just for a short while and test to see if that helps the issue. Then reenable it afterwards.

Hello, sorry to hear that you are having problems with the game. Try this, go into your firewall and click allow Origin and EA through.
I know it can be installed on Windows 10, as I just did it yesterday. True enough, I have it in Origin already, and all I did was download Origin onto my laptop, but it installed all of the same. Took close to 30 minutes, but it's there. Good luck, and be persistent.
