I think I might have solved the black screen issue - Windows 8!
I got the game yesterday, and I got a black screen every time I tried to place an object.
I messed around with the computer and managed to return it to normal using this method:
- Go to the bottom of the page (where the task bar would be) and right click
- The task bar should appear
- Right click on an empty part of the task bar
- Click on "Show desktop"
- Right click again and click on "Show Open Windows"
- The game worked again and the black screen went away!
*Note. I have to do this every time I launch the game.
I hope this helps if the solution hasn't already been resolved. (If it doesn't work, I am sorry...I am not the best with computers and I just found this out by messing with the buttons. Lol).
