The genetics of abduction babies

None of the offspring I've ever had from alien abductions look anything like their human father. I'm assuming this is intentional, like maybe the child was planted in the Sim pre-fertilized and no human genes came into it.

So, how is their appearance determined? Is there a pollination technician per neighborhood like TS2, and can we see what they look like in advance somehow? If there's a way I can choose the "right" town for seeking alien babies, I'd love to know.

I think they're more like a clone of the alien and the male is just a surrogate, as they have 100% alien DNA.

Fictionally, impregnated male Sims are not pregnant. Instead the aliens experiment on them when abducted, resulting in their body being the host of the alien offspring during an incubation period.
