Town Life Residential - An Unconventional Res Lot *Pic Heavy*

Town Life Residential - An Unconventional Res Lot *Pic Heavy*
Hi :D

As I posted recently on My Page, I'm not a good builder but I have an active imagination. Some time back, I made a residential lot for a group of 8 single adults. I played it for a while and then moved the Sims to a new town on a smaller lot. I've updated the lot by adding a finished basement and a few new objects that were released since I last played this lot, and I thought that I would share my weirdness with whoever finds it at least interesting.

I know that this is a very unconventional lot, and will not be to everyone's taste. It's not a residence for 'every Sim' or player. It's fun watching Sims when they do live here and it's great to use for sceenshots and video.

Presenting (with little fanfare), Town Life Residential. There is no third-party CC on the 50x50 lot, but plenty of store, EP and SP objects were used. The lot features fake 'businesses' that double as living quarters.

The Main Building has 3 levels, and a furnished basement: Ground level has a Theater with an extra large TV and theater seating. Through another door, Sims have up and down access using spiral staircases. 2nd level bedroom & bath, 3rd level master bedroom & bath. The basement includes a second kitchen, dining room, family room, bedroom and bath (and Bonehilda living quarters).

Secondary Building had 2 levels: At ground level there is a Restaurant with counters, tables, snack/meal small appliances. The kitchen is closed off with access via 2 restaurant-style doors. It includes the MinusOne Kelvin refrigerator and a food replicator. The second level has a social room with a fireplace, juice bar, bookcase, etc.

The Firehouse: Fire engine (for looks), desks and computers.

The Park: Landscaping, park benches, small fountain, chess and painting easels.

Three street pigeons are included.

The surrounding walls are narrow, but hold multiple activity objects (gym equipment, dart board, child toys, fortune cookie maker, etc). On two corners of the lot, Sims can climb stairs to take in the view and use telescopes and paint. There are two WA chests that have been activated. Objects are duplicated on the inner and outer sides of the walls (with the exception of the trees).

Street objects have been added to help give the lot more of a 'town feel.' No residents, sims in screenshots are not included. One butterfly spawner is in the 'park.' Anyone who downloads the lot and needs to rotate it should check for duplicates after placing the lot.

I'll be uploading Town Life Residential to the Exchange soon and I'll add the link.

Thank you for allowing me to share my unconventional lot here on Creative Corner :D

Edit to add the link to this lot on the Exchange

Overview...This is an overview of the lot during the day and at night. I removed the sprinkler because it made puddles that my Sims had to mop up.

Misc screenshots of the lot with Sims being Sims.

You've got mail, a newspaper and a new love interest.

Great designing of this build! :) You have included so many facilities, areas and items for the Sims who live there to enjoy using and visiting! Also, you have presented your build really well here on this thread. I have been enjoying looking at all the photos of the diffeent areas/buildings and reading all the descriptions of them. Great work in how you have enclosed certain items within the town walls.
Nice work in how you have done the exterior of the buildings so as it looks like a town, and good furnishing of the buildings to suit what they are being used for. I like also the pictures you have shown of the Sims in the lot in the game.
    A great build! :)

@rosemow...Thank you so much for your extremely kind comments. I tend to be a box house builder (square with a roof) so I had a lot of fun putting this lot together and adding objects that I thought would fit.

    Thank you again :)
