Where do you get christmas lights on the sims 3 seasons?

My sim has a wish to ''put up Christmas light's'' and I've seen our house's with Christmas lights so I'm wondering how you get them/where you get them.

You can click on the front door and select holiday lights and then the color.

Click on her front door and you can select the lights from there

Click on the front door of your active Sim's home, and the option should appear to "hang holiday lights". Though I had a home where it showed when I didn't need it, but wasn't there when I did. They look very cool once hung - you get a choice of styles and colors to use. =}

Bummer! Ive been playing my flat top houses since I got seasons, and I was trying to find where to hang lights but never could

And then what? I picked the color and nothing happened after that.

You can only see the lights with your roof visible. Click the button to go up a floor until it's greyed out.

They are also harder to see in the daylight then in the daytime, and it could take some sim playtime for them to show up. Many times the outdoor holiday lights don't show up until the second day of that season.

is it only on the seasons or can you do it on the base games aswell
