My dream house has ... appealed to me since I started walking my two little rescue dogs to the neighborhood park. I go by this house almost every day and often see people working on it, doing the floors or fixing up something. It doesn't have a for sale sign out front, but maybe it will.
I love the roof on it - the way it peaks in the middle with an upper floor that doesn't go all the way to the bottom walls. (Many of the homes in the neighborhood are single story, so that is a plus.) I also like that it has both a hipped roof and an A frame. I love the creamy brick color mixed with the upper floor's wood and the way the bottom floor brick raises to the top in just the places that outline the top floor.
We live in a desert climate, so our landscaping is a bit of native ground cover, some bushes, a few trees, and maybe a bit of hardy flower varieties. A lot of the homes have a small pool that take up most the backyard. I tried to make this realistic yet whimsical enough to indeed be my dream home.
With a musician in the family, one night a week is music night to get together with band members and friends and just enjoy playing and singing together; so the biggest room, and focal point of the home, is the music room.
My favorite part is the marble that would indeed make this a true dream home. I love all its many colors and the blending of them. I love the inclusion of that marble in the walls as well as the floors.
My dream house would be small and cozy. With enough room for me and my puppy! I never really wanted a huge house, I wanted a small manageable house where I would still have enough room for company to come over and hang out. I love the thought of being able to look over the kitchen wall down to the foyer lol I don't even know why
I completely forgot to get overview pictures of the house, But the bedroom, Laundry room and one Bathroom in the basement. the Family Room,Spiral stairs to the basement,Guest bathroom and stairs to the 2nd level is on the main level. And The kitchen and the outdoor deck is on the 2nd Level.
Mine is almost finished but I've been ill so haven't been up to much. Hopefully I'll be able to finish on time. I've got a lot going on in RL at the moment!

My dream house has – the most amazing Cliffside views you’ve ever seen! It has somewhere for all the family to enjoy, princess playroom, office, entertainment room and even a recording studio! Landscaped with love your family will never tire of these views!
Cant wait to see walkingstick what your Dream is for a house.
I started mine yesterday...all Day, poor hubby a bit ignored so read a book Lol. As usual mine will be totally diff..well it would be
Do you know where the features are now since they changed the home page? I have saw it on the main page the first day it got featured, but never saw it there again.
Also, what happened to the shooting stars, anyone know?
My dream house would be a Georgian townhouse as I'm a city girl at heart and love being able to walk or cycle everywhere. Georgian townhouses are found in English city centres such as London and Liverpool and are typically 4 or 5 stories high. These days they are usually converted into flats because the whole buildings are so expensive. One in London would cost about $3.5 million  I would love to own one.
It would have period features but would be decorated eclectically whith modern and classic pieces mixed, which is very much my style. It would have 2 bedrooms (master and guest), a large kitchen diner and a large open plan living area with loads of books. I would have a gym in the basement, which would hopefully motivate me!
Outside space is scarse in this type of building but some have small gardens, in which I would have a kitchen garden to grow my own veg.
As you can see the house next door is empty. This is so i can knock the wall through and expand if I have a family
OMG walkingstick you are a Girl  Why the man Avi? Well I like your house very much as it reminds me of a the ground floor flat I owned in Hastings (South UK) years ago, it was a similar building. I will Rec when its in your studio, yes the exchange is Very slow!

I am indeed a woman. When I first signed up I didn't think I was ever going to talk to anyone on here, so as my user name was walkingstick (because there was one in the room when I was trying to think of a username!) I chose an avi that suited the name. and that was an old man! Since then I've got to know some people, so now it's a bit weird  I had a thread about it in here a few weeks ago but it's probably on about page 50 by now. I'll get round to changing it eventually.
Back on topic. Great builds everyone. I'm going to go through and recommend them all now.
I completely changed the backyard of my house, so I'm going to finish it over the weekend as we had a Math test today and I studies and didn't have time over the week. I am really looking forward to reactions on the house, it's my first public chare and seeing the houses here doesn't help as they are amazing!

Great entries everyone
I'm hoping mine is gonna turn out the way I hope. I'm taking some risks by mixing 2 architectural styles :?
