Download Manager - repairing file loop

I had problems opening Sims 3 a while ago so I clicked on the 'Repair' button. Since then, every time I open Origin, the Download Manager automatically downloads every EP and SP and verifies the files before it allows me to play Sims 3. Has anyone else had this problem and successfully resolved it? Any ideas EA gurus?
