Why are these infants so precious though?!!??!!😱😱 what kind of a sorcery is this?!?!
My heart just totally melts for them. And when my infant did a little sneeze omg!! 😍😍😍
I'm sorry toddlers move over😂
Although it will be awhile before I have my first baby, I'm really looking forward to when my couple starts their family. From what I have read others write, Growing Together and raising infants feels gradual and unique. Infants wont just age up and bam—they know everything.
My couple has now lived in each area of the new world. They recently moved to Gilbert Gardens and this will be the place they call home and raise their family eventually. I really like living so close to the lake and how accessible the walking board signs are.
Went out to brunch and as I looked around, I noticed this sim I created out with her hubby and daughter. You really do have to place the right hairstyle on the right Sim. This hairstyle, that came with Growing Together, really looks great on the mom.
Bella is having brunch with her two sisters, their husbands and kids as well as her boyfriend, Denton. Bella graduated last Saturday and finally Denton will graduate this Saturday. The next big thing will be for him to propose in a beautiful special place.
Bella is wearing clothing from the new pack.
Because both Bella and Denton each come from big families, I will usually have outings and events where either its hers or his family invited.
Taking time to build up my family photos. There are a lot of nice build items; the new picture frame and family of owls are nice items to have in your homes.
Denton and Bella's wedding day photo.
The new walking styles are a nice add. Yet, I wish everyone did the power walk because only Denton's dad was doing the new walk style. Sometimes I do notice other Sims power walking around the neighborhood. You see way more activity living in Gilbert Gardens.
Denton and Bella went power walking with their parents and Honey, their pet.
This is Denton and Bella on a reflective walk with their parents.
Some things I've noticed when they stop walking to either take a breath, drink water or eat an apple.
Very informative, thank you for sharing. I don't really like the changes. Teens basically get a penalty for every age but teens. Why is the young adults-infants relationship punished while adults-infant relationship is rewarded. I like playing young parents but anyone under the age of 40 is suddenly no longer a good parent according to the devs? I wish there was a way to turn this off.
BTW doesn't this deserves it's own discussion because it is base game, not part of growing together?
I agree most of the children, toddlers, and babies I have, have young adults as parents, I even have a couple of families that have young adults as parents of teens ( I made the families in CAS ).
The Rec Center really interests me as a lot type because all I remember doing with those sorts of buildings growing up is having family gatherings, like a Christmas gathering or reunions. But once again, I lived where such places were 30 minutes away so I didn't have access to them normally. I'm super curious to see what Sims it'll automatically attract during gameplay.
Also would probably swap the Lounge in Mt. Komorebi out for one, depending if elders spawn in the Rec Center lot. There's also like, one lot in Sulani I debate on making a Community Lot or this one. Really depends on how things shake out with this lot type.
We really need a lot type that can be used for elders to spawn, like the lot type we have for teens to show up.
I think they adjusted the lounge lot type to spawn elders mostly. Last time I visited the lounge there were only elders whereas before it used to be a mixed bunch of sims. I read from another simmer on the forum that they had a similar experience.
That’s good to know. But I think it would still be good to have a lot trait that you can put on a lot to spawn elders. In case someone wanted something other than a rec center for them to spawn at.

I was very alarmed when I first found out about this. To my relief young adult parents are still able to build up a positive relationship with their infants without problems. So I can live with it.
Even the NPCs dish up young adult parents with a teen kid. If I use any of them I age down the teen. Since the aging shift some of my sims families were also out of whack. Only fixed the really bad ones. It's OK if spouses are in different age groups, but the preteen parents irk me.
I really hope these Family Dynamics can be created through gameplay, like if parents/brothers/sisters are interacting a lot ( positively) with eachother, it will become 'close'.
Now that the pack has been out for a time, I am very pleased that such is happening in my game. Four of my Cantrell siblings are living in the same house, as they did the same dorm while at Uni. It's very nice to get popups over which family dynamic has been formed. My Cantrell's are a bunch of jokesters, it seems. Constantly cracking each other up. Also, they are Close.

I would be concerned about those jokesters. When Sims get too playful (hysterical), they can die.
I'm playing my first child with the pack. Learning to ride a bike was... interesting lol. She kept going diagonally up and down the raised porch and through the garden hedge
She came home from her first day at school with a picture in her inventory. It said something like 'drawn by Donna McHugh on her first day at school'. That was a lovely discovery!
I broke my own rule and bought the pack a few weeks ago, rather than waiting for it to go half-price, and I'm so glad I did! There are so many aspects I've been enjoying, especially when playing with young families but not only then. It's brought more depth to the whole game.
One small example: I've been playing the Elderberry family in Britechester, and yesterday Ekram died. His widow, Eleanore, was devastated, so I had grandson Rohan give her a comforting hug. I intend Eleanore to stay living in that house with Rohan (who has graduated from uni and has a girlfriend) looking after her through her old age. When he gave her that hug, I immediately got a pop-up asking if Rohan's family dynamic with his grandmother should be changed to 'supportive', and I was so pleased - that fitted exactly with how I had thought of it!

This pack is indeed realistic I think it's quite normal that kids ruins garden hedges...

I had to laugh. For a few weeks as a child, the only way I could stop on my bike was by riding into something -- like a garden hedge. So true.

Rosebush , it hurt, I avoided bike for a year
My love, my love, my fearless love, I will not say goodbye..
Sea may rise, sky may fall, My love will never die..
My heart, my heart, My drowning heart, Oh all the tears I've cried
Oh I may weep forevermore, My love will never die..

Haha! I mostly avoided hedges myself, but recall one rough meeting with a barbed wire fence once I tried a tricycle that was much too large for my size, and, just like you I didn't know how to stop it
During Bella's pregnancy, I totally forgot to have a baby shower. Hopefully I'll remember for their second child. With the new gameplay features associated with infants, I didn't want them to have twins. So, thank goodness they only had their little boy. Another nice touch is adding the baby print new photo which I don't know if that is pack related or base game.
Little baby Cody sleeping. I'm enjoying him as a newborn right now.
Decided to get rid of the library and put a restaurant there instead. My Sims can now eat at the restaurant before heading over to the local movie theater. You know how we have the bar, I'm hoping they add a concession stand. Yet, a new movie theater lot type and concession stand would be ideal.
Welcome to Yoshi Eats located in Anchopoint Wharf where families and friends enjoy dining out before they head over to the local movie theater.
I think I'm going to enjoy making Rec Centres in various worlds with different specialties.
It’s really a fun venue to theme on the world. I’m not much a builder but my Henford rec centre is very Henford and not like the SS one at all.
In mine it’s mostly villagers playing cards while a couple of them work out in a little gym space, someone plays on the swings and the rest of them chat.
I’m not too sure how often they will use things that don’t need to be in the build is the only issue. Didn’t see anyone use my yoga mats yet. I’m gonna try to put tea sets everywhere to see if I can make them drink tea and eat slices of cake.
That's where Get Together's Clubs come in handy. Anything unused you can make a club for and there's a chance they'll be there then you visit.

No longer do sims automatically get along with every other sim, it was great!
