I have been a fan of the TV series, "Murder, She Wrote" since it's premiere in 1984. I have wanted to build a replica and finally, I found a blog online that showed several still shots of the interior (sets). The exterior used is the Blair House in Mendocino, CA, which is an Inn. I made one alteration, as from the interior the door isn't on the very front of the house. The other night, in a fit of insomnia, I caught yet another episode which clarified just how many steps from the foyer there are. Three. I had only placed two. So, I went back in and 'fixed' it. I just placed it on the Gallery to share. My gallery name is the same as my forum name. The build is entitled The Jessica Fletcher House, if anyone is interested. Also, I changed out the classic white picket fence for one that better matches the HoB community. I wish the vertical slats were white, as they should be, but what can we do?
As can be seen in these two shots, there is only two steps down to the livingroom. These were taken before I caught the error. The newly uploaded one is fixed.

Thank you. No, I haven't made Jessica, yet. I was just so thrilled with how the house turned out. I placed it on 4 Olde Mill Lane in HoB and moved my newlyweds into it. Mostly so I could test it a bit. So far, so good. I even replaced the house after I fixed the steps from two to three and Joey is still able to do a walk-thru.

Thank you rosemow! I studied the still shots of the sets and tried to duplicate as much as I could. I had no idea of just how cluttered her walls were! LOL

-Yes, person I barely know, you have my blessing to hang out with Johnny Zest.
-No person with the mean, hot-headed and self-absorbed traits, I don't think you should get married.
LOL Well, sometimes I do like to get a rise out of people. I have my family primarily in HoB, so that's why I placed it there. But, yes, it belongs by the sea.

Thank you. I've been a fan of "Murder, She Wrote" since it's premiere. Yeah, I'm that old. LOL

I used to watch it from time to time, my husband did too. We watched a few episodes recently and he remembered them. My main memories were the theme song and Jessica figuring everything out like Sherlock Holmes.
I placed the house in Brindleton Bay.
Ah, you're very close to my daughter's age, she just turned 45 at the top of this month. Me? I'll be hitting 68, in a few weeks. I watched that show every single week. I was expecting my third and last child and would go to bed to watch it there. Inevitably, I would drift off to sleep during the last commercial break and would miss the reveal. So frustrating.
Thank you for the download. I put my heart into this build. It's still missing a few details, I'm learning, as I'm back to scrutinizing the inside sets. There appears to be some kind of utility room between the kitchen and dining room to the left as you're looking through the doorway to the dining room. I won't add it until I can verify what I think I'm seeing.
I also have to flip the kitchen around. In some episodes it appears as if the back door is on the opposite side of where I've got it now. Yet, in the episode, "Benjamin Arnold Slipped Here" we can see Jessica and Seth looking out of the window over her kitchen sink to the backyard. I may have to put the door perpendicular to where it is now. I'll fuss with it to see what seems right.
