It's possible we see a handful of new packs for the rest of TS4 and that's it. The recent lay-offs, budget-cuts, and moving of devs to Sims Mobile tells me that EA doesn't have much use or interest in the PC side of the franchise. I don't personally understand it, I doubt anyone on this board does. They make so much money…
My expectations for this event and this game are so low. :D I just want brand new content - not recolours of older items. I don't care if it's a stuff pack or GP or EP. I want to see something that is actually worth my money for once.
Yikes. I wonder if that's in response to Drake leaving or in response to that unfortunate last stuff pack? If it's over Drake, it's baffling to me that one person could disrupt their entire marketing strategy. If it's in response to the way the last pack shipped out, then I'm concerned about what they are going to try to…
It seems too early in the year for an EP announcement. I'm sure they'll show off console, mobile and probably whatever new SP and/or GP is on the horizon.
I've never heard more about what a studio can't do rather than what they can and it's frankly embarrassing for everyone involved. I realize the bosses at the helm are trying to make as much money as possible. I realize that EA is a corporation whose sole dedication is to it's stock holders. I understand. What I don't…
One would think with the backlash from the money-grabbing scheme that was Battlefront II, EA would learn it's lesson. However it seems to me that they realized they couldn't price gouge those players and instead turned their greed towards simmers. I wish they'd learn that they can do both. They can make quality games AND…
Whether or not this turns out to be a free pack - it's messy. The constant, unnecessary splitting up of content we've seen for TS4 is messy. The way the studio communicates with it's players about the splitting up of content is messy. EA is just so messy and greedy and I'm a little over it.
It was in the stream that the devs said that BB was largely inspired by Stars Hollow (from Gilmore Girls) - which exists in Connecticut. And to be a bit pedantic - actually - New England is defined as the six states of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
Cats & Dogs apparently sold some outrageous amount of copies so I don't think it would be a good business decision to now start from scratch with a new iteration because while the gamers see TS4 as being extremely flawed (it is!) - no one would know that by the money EA makes off of it, which is all EA ultimately cares…
We can always use new worlds! Also, no - I doubt we will. However, we got Brindleton Bay and Selvadorada within a fairly short amount of time. I expect we'll get a world with Seasons towards the end of the year and perhaps another, slightly smaller world with the next GP.
Well, that was disappointing. I should have known better! Of course they are going to do the bare minimum at every turn. There was so much to fix, so much to update from both old packs and new. I realize that takes a tremendous effort and is a lot to balance but there are issues that haven't been corrected from months -…
I thought for sure the next GP would've been Witches - instead it was Jungle Adventures. I thought the cry for witches outweighed the cry for vampires but obviously I was wrong. I do think it's possible that we'll still get a pack for them at some point this year. I've seen so many threads here and elsewhere with solid…
No to both mental and real-world, physical illnesses. Sims are not people - they are pixels. The world they inhabit only slightly resembles ours and we're better for it. Same to your 'biblical people'/'biblical places' idea. There are far too many problematic angles to that as well. Now more careers, more pet types, more…
I suppose we should ask ourselves what other content hasn't yet been updated for toddlers? They mentioned the portable beds and tents and then stopped short of what else could be in the patch, so I would assume they've gone back and made things more accessible for them in general. Perhaps they did the same for pets re:…
It's been said before I think (here or elsewhere) that Brindleton Bay is based on/inspired by Connecticut. As far as other world types I'd like to see: either a tropical or alpine holiday spot. Switzerland is so beautiful covered in snow, so it would be a good type to consider for a Seasons pack. I'd also really love to…
I wonder if there will be any toddler-specific activities in the new world? Also, will traveling there use the same system as Outdoor Retreat? Do sims rent homes or do they visit a lodge/base camp? Will teens/children/toddlers be banned from entering temples? @SimGuruNinja
Don't worry, apparently it's coming tomorrow. ;) Right now I'm more concerned that @SimGuruNinja is wearing a llama jumper in the hot jungle. Heatstroke, man. :#
I remember for other iterations that we were told sometimes via a trailer and a booklet that shipped with whatever EP we bought what the next EP would be. I believe they even included photos of the next pack's big gameplay items. So the idea that we wouldn't be able to handle knowing better than not knowing is ridiculous.
I do now believe we're just being trolled... but it is also of note to say Brindleton Bay was our last world and the company is described 'Bayside Region Pest Types.' Very silly. I do wonder why or how Graham stumbled upon it.
I wonder if this will be the 'Starter Home' pack? Or a fixer upper pack? I can't believe it really has anything to do with collecting insects - at least not directly.
I sense your sarcasm and raise you that in one of the surveys EA put out - a superhero pack was indeed on the table. As was the idea of a post-apocalyptic world (and I believe zombies?) so I would tack that onto the popularity of shows like The Walking Dead and more specifically the success of the TellTale game. It would…
