  • Big names, the Barbie movie was popular too. But I'm not so sure about making a movie about the sims, Hollywood have become a bit infamous lately for making movies that don't follow the source material.
  • A lot of good discussions, shared screenshots and also laughs, not many regrets of what I can recall. I will miss this place, I liked that we could have good discussions on different subjects even if we did not always agree on everything, that feels more rare and rare these days. We had good discussions about the direction…
  • Good that they are able to release emergency patches. It is appreciated. There needs to be more resources allocated to prevent these bugs from happening in the first place though, surely the disappearing moodlet one could have been found and corrected before release? But after 10 years it's becoming tiring to point this…
  • Right now it feels like the game is starting to crumble and that affects a lot of people and many of them don't engage with the community at all so I'm not sure if they are just dealing with it because the sims4 is unique. I haven't updated my game since last of October 2023 because... I have not seen a reason to do that…
  • No, I wasn't that much interested in the pack anyway, and this shopping cart just makes me even less interested...
  • I don't know how to play without your tuning mods either @83bienchen You have created so many useful mods that makes the game so much more enjoyable to play, if you quit modding I will be sad but it is what it is. I'm not sure what do myself, I have lost interest in this franchise ever since the disappointment of high…
  • GET. OUT with this. This is not okay, get rid of it. People have supported this franchise for 10 years, many even longer than that and that is not enough? You gotta have a button on the UI? I'm off to play more Pacific Drive. A full game that I bought for $30 and that I have enjoyed playing lately. It also has a car,…
  • I believe the term is a chronic autoimmune disorder, but I'm no expert and it doesn't really matter. Good that they are adding it anyway.
  • It's good that it's being added but I hope that people are aware that it's a disability and not a fashion accessory.
  • I hope so, I liked the design of these forums, which is one reason why I kept using it for so long. Answer hq can be difficult to navigate, I have only used it for reading and posting about bugs so I hope the new EA forums will be more appealing to use.
  • Some previews or something of the new site would definitely be appreciated, I remember the RTF format too and how images didn't look good.
  • Some of my favorite threads are Post the last screenshot you took in the sims 4 https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/952587/post-the-last-screenshot-you-took-in-the-sims-4 and favorite screenshot https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/788517/favorite-screenshot Both threads gets almost daily posts with new…
  • And now James Turner posted that he is not sure what to do with his let's play series on YouTube with for rent because of all the bugs.
  • I do like the look of it, they have come a long way. The animations and the interactions feels slower than the sims which I am not so sure about but there seems to be different choices that you can make when choosing how to progress your skills and relationships with your paras.
  • Not, really. There are some sims that will spawn that will walk past it, and there will also sometimes be some sims that will walk down to the chess board but since it takes so long for them to get there they tend to just sit at the chess board for like a minute and then they leave. The event that you get after prom spawns…
  • One minute and 20 seconds on my old save. A new save loaded in less than a minute. i9-12900K, RTX3080OC(10GB), 64GB RAM, NVME M.2 Desktop PC. I have all Packs except Horse Ranch and For Rent, Some kits, 10GB Mods and CC.
  • I was a little interested in the pack when I first heard of it because I thought it would be fun to have a pack to play with over the holidays and build apartment complexes but the world didn't felt designed for that at all with so many small lots, the features like breaking in and snooping on other sims felt lacking as…
  • Good that they disabled the pre-order on Epic. Didn't felt right for an early access game, especially if they have to delay it.
  • The recent video with James Turner's Let's Play of For Rent was... interesting. He was unable to save while editing a residential rental lot. He had to move his sims out to change the lot. The residential rental lots that he had pre-built were more expensive to buy than what they were worth. The UI didn't display his new…
  • There is no need to give them makeovers, a lot of them have been around for 10 years and they are good showcases of what kind of sims you could make with the sims4 back in 2014.
  • Makes sense since the switch is easy to bring along and the sims should suit that kind of playing, animal crossing sold a lot on the switch for example. But the limited storage space and performance doesn't sound good for handling a game that has 10 years of content.
  • When I bought the sims4 back in 2014 my computer had... a 1080 with an intel 6th gen I think and the game was eventually installed on an SSD. The game ran...fine but never great even with that setup. It was only when I got my last computer setup that I felt the game ran good but even then I still get framedrops, I got some…
  • Roburky's Fitness Control Mod have a setting called No NPC Fitness Change which I use, it disables weight and fitness changes for sims that you do not play. You can also change how much weight and muscle played sims can get as well but I keep it as the game default.
  • They revealed pretty recently that 1.8 billion hours were played by people last year so there could be a lot of people that could have gotten their saves corrupted. And a lot of people don't engage with the community so they have probably no idea what to do if the bug occurs.
  • Same here, that grill with an umbrella is nice but...not worth worrying about having my saves getting corrupted. I don't want the pack that much.
  • I'm not sure what to expect since they have probably all been on a holiday but fixes to the bugs that came with for rent should be a priority.
  • It depends, I played the game a lot back when it was released, I remember doing different challenges, creating different households etc. but now I tend to take breaks from it instead. The Sims 4 can actually be pretty demanding to play as it requires you to create a lot of things yourself, like those community lots you…
  • Thanks for sharing the survey, I haven't bought it and I shared my reasons why. I hope players that have experienced bugs or haven't bought it because of bugs will be able to provide feedback back to them and that this will be improved. It felt like this pack could have used more development time, a lot of features in the…
  • It was probably expected to be a bit of a slow quarter after we had three EP's last year with one EP being released just recently. This will probably mean that it will be a slow quarter for me as well as I never bought any of the last EP's and I'm not sure if I will buy any kits, maybe the goth kit one.
