I have been waiting on an orchid for 3 in game years now. This is ridiculous.

Ok, I continue to have power randomly shut off for my island sim. I get no warning call and it just randomly shuts off. If I exit to menu the power comes back on, but it is getting annoying having to go in and out of the game just to get my power functioning again.

Thanks for the info. I did not know they did not differentiate between console and PC issues for the bug reports.

I do not use cheats, as I do not want to disable my achievements, nor do I even know how to use them lol. Will it not disable achievements to use cheats?

As this is IN console discussions, one would assume that folk would know I was on console.

It is. To know that every time a patch is introduced, my game is almost guaranteed to break in some way even though they KNOW it will break the game BEFORE they force the patch down our throats, and I will have to just quit playing until the next pack. If that were the case, then after the PC got their patch there would have been a patch for console. Instead pc got their patch on Dec 12, another patch today, and we got entirely skipped for the bug fixes needed since Dec. 5. So, yeah, no.

December 5 the game was broken by your console patch. By Dec 12 the pc players had a fix and were happily playing. The entire holiday season came and went for console players with gardening bug and many other issues that the Dec 5th patch broke. What a lovely 'gift' to your console players. Thank you so much.

I have not noticed much about the weather ever since discovering that all my fruits veggies etc that are above normal quality vanish when I leave the lot and come home. This includes any in the fridge or chests as well as the ones in inventory. Oh and when I save and come back later as well.

<sigh> ea. Why did I even wonder. Such a shame that this, my favorite game franchise of all time, would be in the hands of this amoral corp. I guess they can't figure how to make 'lootbox' ... errr, surprise mechanics for the sims.

I looked for it as well. I was a little surprised to see it was not available. I mean there just are not very many pet items in the expansion on console. I was very disappointed to see the sad few items for my pets. I expected more choices for beds, dishes, furniture etc. Instead I found eleventy bazillion useless decals…

Oh good. Another thrilling "stuff pack". :| :| :| It is certainly charming and colorful and I may get it, but enough already with the stuff packs. Give us some content with a little SUBSTANCE.

I was hoping to get the growfruit etc. At this point I would just be happy to get some actual content and maybe a patch for the controls, as they go all wonky every hour or so on my xbox. And by content I do not mean another thrilling stuff pack either.

I will be expecting my Easter eggs, sugar skulls, plant sims and GROWFRUIT. Also the shelves for putting your collectables on. Need those. They should not have put the skull rack etc in the game if they weren't going to give us the goodies! And I am not going to use cheats. Never liked them. Sure hope we get some more…

Where did you hear we will get no challenges on console?? I will be an unhappy simmer if I do not get the easter eggs, sugar skulls etc.

@PolluxSims Yes, I have used bait. I finally got the wolf eel in the grotto after using up almost all the frogs I had collected, and the angler fish in sylvan glade, but no sign of that bonefish thingie. I would not have even remembered it if there was not a space for it in the collection page.

@sooozeeebeee I missed the plant sim challenge on pc as well, but perhaps that is it. I certainly hope the challenges come to console, as why would they put something like that on your collection chart just to taunt and annoy the completist folk who enjoy such things. I found the holiday crackers, and got all the beanie…

That is just wrong. To complete my collection, I must have the grow fruit and one other item which I do not recognize. It is some kind of oblong, egg shaped fruit or veggie.

Jinx23, I was asking about a specific item, the grow fruit. It is a type of fruit they made up and put in the game. I have not seen it in the console game, yet I keep getting aspirations for it.

If you have been playing these games for a while, through all incarnations, this is NOT a rush to judgement. It is more like a "oh why did I not learn from my last experience with this company". What concerns me is that I bought the sims 3 games for my 360, and they were full of bugs and there was little to no support. It was like, yeah got your money. Sorry the game is a hot mess. I SO want to pre order this for xbox one, but I am afraid to.

Throw away all the files in your inventory at the end of each case, before you gather new clues, and you will not see this, I had this problem but noticed the description was similar to my first case, so I managed to arrest someone, then tossed the items after each case and finished the career without this happening again.

I know this is an old post, but I believe the problem is keeping the old case files in inventory. I started tossing them at the end of each case and have not had this problem anymore.

It finally showed up, thanks. Either I was completely missing something, moving my sim out and back in worked, or the last repair I did fixed the problem.
