Follow up: The update containing the Python update has been out for a week now and script modders were able to update their mods quickly, resulting in minimal disruption. This is all due to the hard work from people in the community that ensured the tools were ready when the update was released. Thanks all! -SGMS
Update: We are testing a change that should correct this issue, at least all cases we are aware of. This fix does not undo the eyebrow fix. Can't give an eta, but we want to get it out sooner rather than later. -SGMS
Hi @_orangemittens_ Thanks for the detailed description. That was indeed unintended fallout from a bug fix. As you describe, hair that uses custom colors that are not flagged for random are broken. There are so much hair CC out there, it’s obviously not good to break them. So I can’t make any guarantees, but we are…
Hi all, Update. There are two Python 3.7 decompilation efforts underway: @_A_ has published unpyc37 which is based on unpyc3 and is available here along with updated instructions, here. @Fogity is working on a new decomoplier, which is available here. Both efforts have made great progress and at this point it looks like…
Hi all, Heads up that this Python upgrade will be included as part of the Base Game patch for Get Famous. That pack is released on November 16, as many of you know the Base Game patches usually arrive a few days prior to the pack release. So expect the patch to arrive around that time. -SGMS
Hi all, CC will not be affected. Only mods that contain files with the .ts4script extension are affected. CC typically only contain .package files. I am going to close this thread as it has served its purpose. We have a month to get this sorted out, so recommend that everyone hold tight and let the technical folks work…
@Scumbumbo : Thanks for running those tests on uncompyle6. I don't need to see the detailed logs at this point since it seems like pycdc (or other) is going to be the better route. Big thanks to you, @Fogity et al. for your efforts so far.
Hi @Scumbumbo , You are correct, the tuning using the id 6C89C799F0E098A6 was never released externally so that is why you have not seen any references to it before. It is valid for the same id to appear in new_muid multiple times. This happens if that part of the schema when through multiple iterations in such a way that…
Hi, There were no TDESC changes for 1.44.83. However, there was one file changed for today's patch 1.44.88. Instead of republishing all the TDESCs I've just attached the one file that has been modified. -SGMS
Hey @simmythesim , Answers, 1) Correct, this is defined by the prefix. There are a few prefixes that are considered voices: vo_, voe_, babyvox_, voc_, voec_ 2) For “vo” samples, names can be determined follows: Append the sim type and voice type to the sample name. These map to what was chosen in the UI when creating the…
Hi @Selarono, The .bt file can be opened in "010 Editor" which will allow you to decode, edit and save game data using the files we provide describing game date formats. The file can also just be opened in a standard text editor like Windows built in notepad (or the superior Notepad++). Check out the CASPARTREGION…
Hey @Dramatic-Gamer , So you want to generate a siminfo resource for the "_sim_creation_info" -> "resource_key" setting in tuning, correct? Unfortunately Sims saved in your save file use a completely different format than the pre made siminfo files. So there is no easy way to extract that information from the save file.…
