I would like to suggest standardheld on tumblr. A lot of basegame recolors and unlockables recolored. They do packs such as the work pack collection where they did work place clothes for both men and women. Also very request friendly when it comes to base game stuff.

If they have the plumbob icon they are sims 3 packs, and need to be installed with the sims3 launcher. If you are not trying to download sims 3 cc, that is what is wrong - you are downloading CC that is not compatible with your game.

Also, if it's just a recolor you might need the mesh for it to work. You can also try clearing your caches (including the spotlight file) this can sometimes fix the issue. Also make sure your game is able to read your package files by not putting them in sub folders beyond what your resource file allows.

Thank you :) Unfortunately I didn't have room to move the game files over to my laptop when I moved in January, so we are on hiatus for the moment until I can get that sorted out.

I download from tsr only if I know a lot about the creator, I feel it is easier to find maxis match on tumbler because you can search for it with #TS4MM

I get most of my CC from tumblr (directly from the creators) instead of through tsr. It makes me feel safer to be able to contact people and ask if they think something might be wrong with their items. Yes, if you had 2 of the same they would have babies. Just like if you stocked a pond with 10+ they would reproduce and you could catch that kind of fish there day out and day in. It was great for making ambrosia.

I like CC more for sims 4 than I did for sims 3, I need variety when I can't use cast. I even started a tumblr just to reblog and keep my maxis match cc collection easy to search through. I love it!

I use platinum simmers most of the time. But the beauty of creating kids and then letting the game age them up is that it doesn't really matter what traits/aspirations I choose, because the game does the randomizing work for me. I do hate the missing randomizer though - miss it so much!
