Like others said, make your seasons longer. You can also use cheats to make the snow lighter or disappear so there won't be a snow day. This week was actually my first week back to school since Sandy, so missing that much school is pretty realistic haha.
I was kind of hoping school wouldn't reopen until Wednesday but my school opened today. The plus was no actual learning happened today, the downside is there's going to be a lot more homework and a lot less time spent playing Seasons in the coming weeks. But there's a 4 day weekend next week.
I didn't get the digital download, I prefer having the disk. Plus, it's a school night so even if I did get the digital download I'd be sleeping by the time it was available haha.
I just had to go outside in my pajamas (which is a long sleeved shirt and shorts). I was covered with snow by the time I was back inside. I live on the Jersey Shore, pretty much 5 miles from the beach...or what was the beach.
I'm excited but wary at the same time considering it's been just over a week since Sandy hit here and towns are still trying to clean up and there are still wires down in some places on top of areas being evacuated again because of the nor'easter. The snow making me more excited to get Seasons. I have ideas for my sims now.
I'm hoping to be back in school when Seasons is released. I might have to wait on getting it this time around because Best Buy might not even be open again quite yet. Even when I do get the game, I might have to hold off on playing because school has been closed for over a week now.
The borough of Sea Nright is under six feet of sand. Their firefighters are helping out in other towns I believe as it is still to dangerous in their borough due to rupture natural gas lines.
Travel into certain towns is restricted to residents only. Volunteer efforts are springing up to organize cleanup of debris. As I said in my previous posts, the Jersey Shore as I knew it no longer exists. I'm fortunate enough to live a little further inland than some of my friends.
I was a little disappointed at first, but now that I'm enduring Sandy, I'm glad there are no natural disasters in the game. There are live wires down on my block and about five trees have come down on my block alone.
