I lost interest once I found out the horses count as your 8 household limit and the ranch animals are considered “minis” and not fully fleshed out. Corners have been cut and I’m not a fan.
I think the base game is going to be free but they’ll nickel and dime us to death and sell each additional item for a particular price. They’ll probably bundle items together too and it’ll be slightly cheaper. I’m looking forward to being able to pick and choose what I want in my game and avoiding cluttering up the game…
Happened to me before and that’s how I first realized I didn’t need so many mods and CC to begin with. I was too lazy to find everything all over again so I only redownloaded mods and CC I considered essential. Blessing in disguise in my case.
I’ve been thinking about this lately and I really don’t think we’ll be getting cars in The Sims 4. It’s a sad realization. They’ve made it abundantly clear they don’t think cars make sense or are necessary so it is what it is.
I thought everyone put their mods in folders like this? If not, no wonder people get so overwhelmed whenever there’s a patch and updates are required. Sounds frustrating otherwise.
Download from the gallery. Delete every object that was placed with MOO or Alt. Delete every debug object. Delete every object on the walls. Then I go through the lot, add what I want and prosper.
I would love a toggle off option for all occults in settings. In the meantime, I buy whatever pack I like whether it includes a new occult or not (mainly for the worlds) but I only do so after MCCC mod updates with the ability to convert all occults to humans and stop them from being generated. Usually takes a few weeks…
I agree. You can disable vampires on doors and you can restrict Sims in their werewolf form to the Moonwood Mill world only which is nice. But I would like the consistency of an off button in options for all the occult types. It’s a shame because you may want to buy a pack for the world or the items or the clothes but…
You didn’t mention how much you’d like to spend. Packs range in pricing between $5-$40. What is your budget? More expensive packs include more items and features.
I don’t enroll any Sim in university unless I intend to babysit the household for however long it’ll take for them to complete the program and graduate. I only do off-campus and it’s still too many buggy things that happen when you switch to another household. Sims get stuck with incomplete degrees, or on academic…
Sounds like you want the packs more for the world, CAS and build mode objects than their advertised features and there’s nothing wrong with that. I’ve bought packs for those reasons as well and don’t regret it. It’s all about do you feel like what you want the most out of the pack is worth the $20 price tag. You’ve already…
I searched for a base game family I deleted a long time ago. It was saying there were only 2 uploads and I know there are probably hundreds. It was weird. I also think they should include every family in our libraries.
I have a lot uploaded that is marked as CC and I don’t even have any build mode CC. I had no idea if you use a locked career reward item in a build it can get that “this lot includes CC” notice. I think I used one of the higher quality locked easels. I should double check.
I like the chickens for the small footprint, ordering groceries, and the Simple Living lot trait. I wasn’t impressed with the CAS items, buy mode items, or world tbh.
Skill classes are included in the Discover University EP. You can click on your Sims phone to enroll them and select the skill you want them to learn. Once you pay a fee, they disappear to a rabbit hole and when they return they would have earned progress in that skill.
