  • Always on for active household and off for other played households. I've done different things in different saves for the unplayed sims.
  • I don't think you're doing anything wrong, but maybe one of the reasons I don't play like you do is because I am more interested in the next generation than the original. I don't make backstories for my CAS sims, I concentrate on creating what will be the backstories for their children. This is why Sims 2 and 4 are way…
  • @mightysprite In my previous save, Diego is a gay ghost, Raj is an asexual vampire (happy uncle to his vampiric siblings' children) and I never played with Salim. I wanted to do it all differently this time so they'd feel distinct.
  • I started a new save last week. I deleted all of the premades except for the ones in San Myshuno (and those with defined roles who would have been replaced), created one sim to start out with, and started rotating between her and the Benali and Rasoya households. I redid all the community lots in San Myshuno with the help…
  • I tend to play similar to a legacy and whoever I choose as the heir moves back home but any spares move out and start new households for my rotation.
  • I wish the rides were available as club activities so I could assign a club to that park as a hangout and at least those sims would show up and use the rides.
  • I would listen if the sims weren't addicted to dancing. Since they are, I usually don't put stereos in my houses.
  • Wow @Metior_Ice you know a lot about merfolk! Thank you for sharing! As for lore in my game I don't have much. People who want the powers for selfish reasons become merfolk with unnatural skin tones and face markings (face paint technically) like Lily. Those who have an actual connection to the islands and have good hearts…
  • I just learned today that the infants have poses when you have a sim take a photo of them with a camera or phone. I don't think there's anything for the Moschino tripod specifically, like the holding toddler poses. Anyway they are so cute! The sitting and crawling poses will probably need the help of some kind of stage or…
  • Did y'all know they added infant poses for phone pictures? I just learned that today. Here are the triplets: Enoch: Eve: Esmerelda: There are some sitting and crawling poses also but the eyes are always looking at the photographer's knees rather than the camera. I take this as a challenge to add a little platform to my…
  • I have been hoping Declan would get help for a while now. Poor Hazel though! That had to be traumatizing.
  • I play with aging on for active household only, and so play every household in every rotation but not in the same order every time. I do a combination of overplanning and acting on a whim. I have a spreadsheet where I track which holidays and festivals and moon phases are coming up in which week and plot out who I'll play…
  • Similarly I have a sim who's been planning to open up a retail grocery but started a family first and doesn't have the time or money right now, so in his spare time he goes to the marketplace lot and sells fresh produce and baked goods from a table. The stall will be a nice upgrade especially if the kids can actually help…
  • I am excited about this one! For some reason I love food options. And I really love the reorganized menu so I can more easily find those options.
  • @GalacticGal OMG I started reading that and was suddenly... wait, what?! After everything you've been through to get that save right. When the first generation of my save died I'd only been playing them two years but I was really sad to see them gom can't imagine how it would feel after as much time as you've spent with…
  • Editing something that's close to what I want is less daunting than starting from scratch. And I don't have to learn how to do roofs this way.
  • A long time ago, in a galaxy... well ok in this galaxy, I had a sim visit Batuu and bring home a townie wife. They had a daughter, and my plan was for her to grow up and build my game's first Servo in an attempt to make droids like on Batuu. Finally this past week the daughter became a teen and got her first droid. And got…
  • I have lots of holidays. I have four weeks in each season and three out of the four have a holiday of some sort. There are a few small ones like Parent's Day that just have a couple of traditions and no real decorations, and then all the major real world US equivalents (Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Easter, New…
  • In real life I prefer cats but in the sims there isn't as much to do with them. I don't have horses or goats in my game yet, and none of the others have quite as many interactions as the dogs. I miss being able to train cats and dogs for pet jobs, and being able to encouage bad behaviors back in sims 2.
  • I think it's closer to 8.5. I believe I started around the time Outdoor Retreat and/or Get to Work were released, so early 2015. I had skipped Sims 3 because it wasn't rotational play friendly, and then the computer I was still playing Sims 2 on died somewhere around the end of 2014. So when I got the new computer I tried…
  • I didn't know they fixed the fireworks! That was a nice surprise. They'd been bugged for ages.
  • Oh wow! Thanks! Taking pics of Ribby the skeleton doing random things was the highlight of my last few weeks in game for sure! Glad others are enjoying them. Congrats to all the others mentioned!
  • @DreamPrincess Happy Birthday! Depending on time zone I may be a bit late. I had several birthdays in my game today, but didn't take any pictures yet. My sim from Batuu, Valad Endivain, has three children. her daughter aged up to teen and her twin sons aged up to child. I am happy to be done with the toddler stage. The…
  • @LeucosiaX I did the same thing as in this reddit post https://www.reddit.com/r/Sims4/comments/f2fuew/playable_skeleton_without_cheating/ I don't really understand but sometimes the skeletons from Selvadorada will either have human roommates, or one will turn into normal townie sims after your befriend them but the rest of…
  • How did those bananas turn his face brown?
  • I moved a skeleton sim into one of my households and decided to explore what might be fun to watch a skeleton do. Sulani edition: Monster stomp:
  • @Moxovynka Thank you! That is Katrina Caliente. I aged her down to YA and her daughters down to toddlers, then she married my good vampire Charlotte. Now the girls are teens. Viktoria doesn't live at Straud Manor anymore, officially story-wise she's supposed to be hiding in Tartosa with her mother but she showed up as a…
  • @mightysprite I'm unsure if that would affect his role as the reaper in the long term or not. To be honest I don't know if my game is going to create a new Flower Bunny because I temporarily added her to my family or if I removed her fast enough that she went right back to her role. When I used the same cheats with Patchy…
  • Today I learned you can have a science baby with the Flower Bunny if you add her to the household temporarily using cheats. You only see the option when you're controlling the bunny, not the other parent.
  • @Metior_Ice Thanks! I don't think I've seen them as mermaids before on the forums. I wasn't sure what to do with them and this is just where I ended up. I just realized they are already in the adult stage so I am going to have to have them try for a baby pretty soon. I enjoy Alexander's new look! Much more than he does I…
