Thinking about it, a Tron/Matrix esqe comedy where some poor fool from our world ends up in The Sims and has to get help from Iconic characters to get home might be kinda fun. I definately don't want a Sim either becoming self aware or visiting our world. That's too similar to Barbie for my tastes. Any story that's wholely…
EA is mentioned as being involved in at least one of the articles I've read on it. But as the film is still in Pre-Prodcution, they probably aren't ready to do any promotions on it yet. We might get some early promotional shots once they're starting filming, but that probably won't be for a few months yet. Edit - it may be…
The High School pack introduced Teen-only Aspirations, so now all teens need/get to choose their aspiration over again when they age up to Young Adult. Provided it was one of the regular ones, they can either re-select their original aspiration or pick a new one.
I prefer to play spellcasters, but Werewolves are probably my favorite Occult in terms of development and depth... I just find it hard to give up all the spell cheats. :)
Have you tried chain gifting? If the palace employee is in the same "household" as the royal family, then they can swap them fairly easily (I had my test family do this regularly. Heck she created the ring he proposed with, and all I did was move it from the crafting table to his inventory) Otherwise, chain gifting, if…
Good news! Children *are* affected by Crystals So it's just infants and toddlers that miss out. Either that or I never got the littles close enough to the crystals.
Yeah, I was wondering if it might be that, or perhaps the much demanded height slider. I mean, I don't know that they can do it without a massive overhaul ov their animations too, so maybe we should keep an eye out for (new) weird animation glitches.
I'll use the saucer lights while building, but I try to replace them all with suitable light fixtures in each room. Most rooms have an overhead light or two, halls will often have wall lights, and bedrooms I try to have an overhead that I set on Autolight and a smaller light of some kind that's always on. I almost never…
Give me about 2-3 days (real time) My gemologist just had a baby in game. Possibly less if I find having an infant/toddler around makes things too crazy in game. Update #1 - To no one's surprise (but more than a few people's dissapointment, I'm sure) to the best of my ability to test, Infants and Toddlers gain no…
Yep. If you charge them, their effect is felt nearby - roughly 2-3 squares in radius - and you can put the effect on "hold" (and delay the usage of the charge) by putting it in a sim's inventory. Otherwise, they're just pretty decor
Unfortunately not. The jewelry aren't standard CAS items. They can be un-equipped and re-equipped in CAS, but they don't unlock like the assets from Nifty Knitting - and they'd have to be re-equipped in the same CAS session. I'm guessing it's because each jewlery item has effectively over 400 swatches (22 metals x 27 gems…
That's my point. I'm regularly hitting the manage worlds button when I mean to hit the build/live mode button and vice versa. So if the cart had been there for a while, I would have noticed it by accidentally opening it a few times when I meant to go to the gallery by clicking without paying attention. And if I was paying…
I'm kinda inbetween. I don't like being spammed, but I *also* don't like that the light is/could be causing issues for some players making them unable to play the game. And in the long run, accessibility issues trumps general annoyance as to why this is a bad idea.
I'll admit I don't find the button actively annoying, but I don't have the flashing button and I don't have photosensitivity issues. But I find it annoying on principle.
I'll buy it eventually, but not using that [expletive deleted] button. And I'm one of the lucky ones that doesn't have any lights or animation on it, and even if it did, I don't have a photo sensetivity. But I'm also not going to play off-line forever.
I have the button, but it never was pulsing for me. I thought it was because there is only one thing I haven't bought (Bust the Dust) Turns out, I was just lucky. Do I want it? Heck no. Does it intrude on my gameplay? No, but I still don't want it there. It will not encourage me to buy anything. I'll either buy it when I'm…
Since I seem to recall that somewhere along the line, Project Rene was going to be released along side Sims 4 rather than replacing it - and therefore may not actually be Sims 5, but rather a new variant on Sims Mobile (what with the usability on phones and such) - Maybe Project Dolores is the Actual Sims 5? I dunno, just…
My latest spellcaster is in Uni for Computer Science, but she's not really pursuing her Spellcaster heritage that much. (her father didn't either) Similarly to EnkiSchmidt, being a spellcaster in my worlds is just a skillset that some sims are innately better at than others. I mean, overall, I generally do a lot of…
I seem to recall that cheating up a spellcaster's rank was always... iffy. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, and sometimes they'd get stuck at their new level and be unable to gain more points. But then, I haven't used it in quite a while
I don't play my Simself (she exists, I just don't play her.) As for my "main character"... that varies, depending on the story I'm telling. Most of them only get married once or maybe twice. A few don't get married at all. And I think I've only had one with several marriages, but they were a vampire trying to find the…
Looks very interesting. I'm (as usual) wondering about cross pack compatibility with the extra gems and metals from Get To Work and Jungle Adventure, as well as the refined gems from Jungle Adventure (though those have a very specific use in that pack) But what I saw looks cool enough that I'll only be kinda dissapointed…
