I miss being able to write books that were so much quicker to make than the ones in TS4. I could have made a living pumping out fiction/non-fiction each day. Also the writer's block is annoying, I miss getting uncomfortably tense and having to just play for a short while before starting again.

I also miss writing comics, alien invasions with UFOs, the jetpack, and a lot of stuff from 3's Ambitions pack.

And suddenly, my witch doesn't always gain spellcaster points after leveling up. It's driving me nuts.

I think that last one is a bug, because I've been getting it with vampires and werewolves.

Okay, so I have to report it somehow.

I like that the High School pack is very American-focused

I have no use for a romance pack, or a high school pack.

Teens look like teens to me in-game (usually). The reason they didn't in the trailer for HSY is because of the medium being emulated, wherein teens are just adults playing teens.
Check out my 'Simming Tips' for detailed tips and tricks (TS4).

I micromanage a lot, so I don’t see too many unexpected things. But, one time when I was playing a family of 8 with grandparents, I saw one of the grandmothers walk into the bedroom and sit down on the granddaughters bed to talk to her her. I thought that was cute. I laugh at sims kicking over trash cans and sims smashing doll houses occasionally too.
One surprise action that shocked me was when I took a married couple who were very much in love to the movie theatre where they kissed. Another female sim walked over and slapped my male sim…..I was shocked and wondered why she did that, so I looked through his relationship panel and saw that he has some romantic connection with the sim that slapped him. Because I play rotationally, I assumed he must have been flirting when I was with another family. It made me laugh when I realized why he had been slapped!

I like townie weirdness. It's what makes the game so quirky and interesting to me. Some random sim walks into a bar wearing a colander for a hat and I'm like, "Well, he's fun!"

I also don't mind the theme nights at the bars. In fact, one of my most entertaining bits of autonomous Sim-stuff occurred because of Bear Night in the beach bar in Sulani.

Now, you come wandering in wearing CC that I picked out for one of my played sims, you gonna get edited. Otherwise, stay weird, townies!

I'm at a point where small worlds don't bother me anymore.

I have a ''special'' way of rational playing. Whenever a sim moves out, I create a new save. I actually never run out of space for my generations. Plus the fact that we can travel in every worlds, makes it a huge world in reality.

There are two current bug reports on AHQ related to Spellcaster & Werewolf XP resetting & not giving points, you can click "me too," if you haven't already:

They need to release Sims 1: Complete edition on Steam already.

Not sure how unpopular of an opinion that is, but I'd love to be able to play the whole collection without having to install lots of discs, I lost half the expansions either way. The complete edition they did release at some point has never been available here in the Netherlands and is only going for crazy high prices it seems.

And it should include the free bonus DLC they released for it too, which added some clothes. And a Command & Conquer pack too.

It's ridiculous that they do have 2, 3, 4 and medieval up there, yet not sims 1 with which it all started.

Same. I don't care for open world either.
EDIT: I'm also kinda glad that teens are the same size as adults. Less CC that I need to download. :p

    About the teen height thing:

What if the problem isn't that teens are too tall,
but that the young adults and adults are too baby-faced in the game?

After all, in real life, teens are the same height as adults, but they are a lot more baby-faced.

I love weighing in on the various polls regarding simming choices but I'm too controlling to let anyone else make decisions for my Sims. :p

I like the concept of open neighborhood, kind of like Sims 2 Apartment Life, but with different houses. On the other hand, I'm strongly opposed to open world. I think it's a waste of computer resources.
-No, my almost-elderly mother, I don't think it's a good time for you to try for a baby.
-Yes, person I barely know, you have my blessing to hang out with Johnny Zest.
-No person with the mean, hot-headed and self-absorbed traits, I don't think you should get married.

I prefer the short step-by-step aspirations we have in 4 to the longer "lifetime goals" in the other games. For example in 3 especially the goals are like "max 3 skills and paint 6 masterpieces!" That takes forever. And it's just one goal so I feel absolutely no sense of progress at all. Whereas with Sims 4's aspiration system I actually feel a sense of progression as I can see my sims achieving the goals and going to the next level of the aspiration (although I do wish some were a bit more challenging)

I’m glad bands don’t seem to be included in the school pack. I want Pro bands and careers. And music/performing arts deserves its own game pack.

Yeah, I don't think music has ever been "done right" in the game.

Bands in the Sims 2 University and the Sims 3 Late Night just played one of three not dissimilar songs on loop with no lyrics (not to mention the difficulty in getting gigs in the latter).

Meanwhile singers in Superstar got sing one of three songs, while in Sims 3 showtime it was one of 10 songs, each of a different genre.

I'd like a dedicated music pack with a much larger repertoire of music, that way you can specialise in a genre, and have your musicians feel more unique.

It would be very simple to add all the instruments for a TS3 style rock band, or whatever genre you prefer. We have the keyboards and guitars, all we need would be the bass and drums. I've made no secret about wanting an active singing career. How hard can it be to add since the basic framework is there with the acting career? I can't understand why after all this time it's still missing. Live bands could follow that same framework too.

I'm a jazz lover and it would be the ultimate dream to have trumpets, saxophones, clarinets, and trombones so we could do the genre properly as both a band and singer. It would never work in this game but what a trip it would be if your female jazz singer could lounge seductively on top of the piano while she croons. You know really go all the way in recreating the atmosphere. I would be deliriously happy if our singers could stand at a mic in front of a band and do their thing. And while we're at it, how about so more variety to the vocal styles? When your singer tops out now they all sound the same, all super polished and fancy. Some grittier, more soulful, raw emotional tones would be so welcome and would make them more individual.

I would be fun if we could coordinate a sim singing on the microphone with another accompanying them on guitar and bass. Technically you can simulate it now, but in my game at least, they aren't working together. It's just three sims doing their own thing at the same time in the same general vicinity. On the surface at least we're so close to having these things that I can't understand why they aren't there or why we've never had an explanation why they can't be there.

Nah, if they're doing a music pack, they need to add more than just garage bands. We've been there done that (and it was part of a larger pack). It's time for them to add classical instruments:

    Flute/Piccolo
    Clarinet/Bass Clarinet
    Saxophone
    Trumpet
    Trombone
    Tuba
    French Horn
    Oboe
    Bassoon

I could go on, but you get my point. Let's actually be able to create BANDS.

    Packs that are so lame:

Eco Lifestyle for basically making Sims think going green is great- why do they all get buffs from asking Eco Master about eco lifestyle, but not from the entrepreneur talking about the industrial lifestyle? Let the player decide if the Sims are green or pro industrial.

IDK what the athletics one is called, but I never really use the stuff.

    Bust the Dust- enough said.

Island Living for focusing on cleanup and stopping poachers rather than real game play.

Strangerville- it's really only good for one playthrough.

Just about every single kit as they really have nothing in them.

Laundry Day. Are you kidding me...?

Vladislaus Straud is kinda nice vampire prince. He helps you when you come city first time as a vampire, why people find him annoying?

I think cars are overrated. They had nothing more than a wohoo place.

I get what you're saying and I'm totally with you. I love several suggestions you have on that list. I mentioned a garage/rock band because the instruments are there or have been in previous versions, TS3 drums for instance. I would love to have trumpets, trombones, saxophones, clarinets then I can have what I truly want, a New Orleans jazz band. I could build a replica of Tipitinas and have my jazz band play there and have my favorite female sim be the singer. In my headcanon she is from NOLA, loves jazz and loves singing. That's my ultimate sims musical fantasy.
