@Neashaleigh - Hi! thanks for participating, I probably won't do a review of your entries but I will try my best to tour them. Please submit as you can. I am always amazed by others' interpretation of the shell (I might even "borrow" an idea or two...lol). You did an awesome job on the one and I loved the half wall in the living room.
I invite any of the other builders to submit a review of your entry! (I hope that is okay). Enjoy the other briefs/shells!
Thank you kindly. I certainly don't mind reviews from other builders I like to keep improving and getting feedback is really good. I might do this latest shell next I think.
Hi @nali272 The Burglerman Briefing sounds interesting, I will try to join in this time, I have moved into a little studio apartment, still in a pickle but glad to take my mind off things
@luckyheather - As simple as it is moving can be very stressful...so I understand completely. Do what is best for your sanity. @Pickusfamily - You are welcome. I am so happy you are enjoying it.

Entry form Origin ID: AlJay2000 Gallery name: On The Dark Side Do you want feedback from anyone? Yes Link to slideshow:RMH - Burglerman Description: Hunter's newly renovated house is decorated with dark colors. I have designed this house to be fully functional off grid so he can live there completely undetected. I have tried to maintain the privacy of the property with the trees, but have also added a fence for extra security. Seeing as he is a collector, I have given him a fishing pond where he can collect frogs and go fishing, (it is also a good place to gather water if his dew catcher can't keep up with the demand). As far as the secret room he wanted, I have added a basement under the home with a secret entrance from the inside and a discreet exit/escape door from the outside as well. The home has a top of the line security system with control panels by each door. The office has many windows for him to keep an eye out for suspicious activity and there is an exit available from each side of the home in case he needs to make a quick escape. I have also added a covered deck for him to enjoy and removed the "Hall tree" shall we call it. Which in turn created some roofing changes. It was such a pleasure to work with Mr. Burglerman! He was so understanding and seemed to be completely satisfied with the new changes. Especially after I showed him the basement Pictures:

He got a literal forest and water moat surrounding him home. The interior layout was kept the same with light decorating since he didn't give much direction in that area. Went with a bit of a plant theme because who doesn't like plants? The "secret" room was built into the basement, looking out into the moat. The door to the basement room is hidden by a curtain in the bathroom. Turns out he's a precious goods thief! He has crates of stolen riches in the basement, as well as several especially rare items on display. Pictures:

We enclosed the property with a 6 foot wooden fence . We decided to approach this situation in a different way. We racked our mind as to What kind of style could be put on to this desolate dilapidated a shell of a house? An eastern , Oriental style was chosen. Where we were able to incorporate with architectural style Cedar bars on the windows for Privacy. They blended in well in an inconspicuous manner.. We added landscaping for privacy also, but Not too little and Not too much to make the lot blend in with the neighborhood. Not much was changed with the floor plan of the home. We made the bathroom smaller and put in a small galley kitchen. Mr. Burglerman works in imports , Exports & Art Forgery. We were able to provide him with his "Secret Room" ( 2 floors down under the home ), His basic necessities : bedroom, kitchen, bathroom & space to hang out and watch tv/check the computer for items to add to his collectibles. His Lot has been made to be a Private Dwelling, there is Fast internet & it is peaceful and quiet.
@nali272 For the rmh challenge can I place the lot in a vacation world? Also, the lot value is over $65 000 but I only kaching-ed exactly $65 000 that wouldn't violate any rules would it?
@VeeNomNom - You can use any lot you want, I would prefer it to be the same size as the lot I've built on but you can find one tell me what size lot you used so that I can find a comparable one. The lot value does not matter in this challenge as long as you don't go over the budget, this will not please the clients.

@Pinkusfamily your version No" Secret "room here looks so good with its Oriental style, I love how you mixed the Asian with the normal furniture so well and the garden is private and attractive great basement secret room with lots of interesting looking Antique's even though some might be forged I am sure they will sell rather well!

Renovation Cost: 63,375 Construction Notes: A perfectly normal looking house that rouses no suspicion! Got that cabin in the woods feel, surrounded by tall trees. Others would just think he loves nature and is a plant loving sim! The secret room is made upstais, but while its visible on the outside, no one knows where the secret entrance is! This lovely cabin home has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a kitchen and a laundry room. It also has a cozy living area perfect to fool any guest!
(yay first time doing this challenge, let me know if I'm doing something wrong) :)
@Neashaleigh - Great landscaping for privacy, loving all the porches! The interesting choice to use the same wall covering for both the exterior and interior, but it works. The open concept of the living, dining, and kitchen is wonderful, I like how you were able to match all the tan and brown colors. It feels open and airy without the sterile feel that white gives off sometimes. Spacious bedroom and computer nook. The private porch off the bedroom is a great idea. COOL utility closet in the laundry/bathroom!
The bathroom has plenty of room for him and any possible company. Funny story, although the secret room does not have a hidden entrance, it did take me a while to find it…. lol! Good Job! Nice open secret room for him to bring his um, collections? Thanks for participating.
@AlJay - Nice landscaping. I would not have ever thought to do that side entry with the boat and truck. (I may have to steal that!) The black and white tuxedo exterior of the house is beautiful. The barbwire fence with the vines is an awesome touch. Nice entertaining back porch. The off the grid style of the house is beneficial to Hunter Burglarman's lifestyle. Loving the open concept of the kitchen, dining, and living room space. The black and white with pops of color palette is awesome. The small bathroom is big with design and functionality. Wonderful office library /office space, I don't think I've ever used the fish on the wall. I may have to keep that in mind... (Ah, a place to do some deep…dark…diving into the web.) Beautifully spacious designed master bedroom. The secret space is marvelous. Ha, he's got all his expensive stuff locked behind the bars! Nice secondary entry or escape hatch. Yes, Hunter is loving this basement. Thanks for participating.
@icanhassims - Hunter Burglarman thanks you for the nice private landscaping and making his home into a castle with that moat! The side yard that has no access for the nosey neighbors is perfect. (his words). Now the outside of the house does not give you any indication of the comfort coziness style inside the house, color me pleasantly surprised. The open concept living, dining, and kitchen is wonderful if he ever chooses to have company. In the bedroom using that loft bed to include an office and chess table, is a great idea and use of space. Adorable use of all the pony walls in the kitchen and the bathroom; you almost tricked me, I couldn't find the entrance to the secret room, then I realized it was in the bathroom. Nice job. Nice place to hide of his treasures in that what looks like a Raiders of the Lost Ark design and cute putting that camera up there to keep his stolen merchandise safe LOL. Thank you for participating.
@msmunkie - Great privacy fence, love escape mobile home! (I need to do one of those again) And the fact that you made this a two-story was a wonderful surprise. Almost didn't see your entry to the hidden secret room too. Sneaky putting in a double hidden door bookcase… LOL. Thanks for participating.
@Pinkusfamily - Well, I must say, with that beautiful landscaping and the exterior design, you wouldn't think that Hunter was up to anything questionable, but those bones in the backyard tell another story! (Good sheep in Wolves' clothing…lol). At first glance, the interior gives off an Ernest Hemingway feel to it, that traveled around the world aura. Especially in the living room/office, the small galley kitchen is just adorable. Cute bathroom and nicely decorated. The bedroom is spacious and delightfully decorated too, I like all the pops of color among the tan and brown colors. Almost missed the door to the secret room, if I had not seen the space, I would have missed it. Ehhmm… is he a porch pirate? I see packages in a hallway to the secret room, that don't look like they belong to him. Wow, He has amassed a collection. Some of these items I've never seen before, seriously… like I've never seen this Stolen Necklace of the Late Duchess Pinky before! SMH, I've really got to do a little bit more looking around, or at least gameplaying… LMBO. Thank you for participating.
@luckyheather - Nice desert landscaping, great split-level patios in the back, love the chimney wall! This is a real MIB/outer space décor style, the open-concept office, living, dining, and kitchen area is fantastically designed. The bedroom is nicely decorated. I love your use of the hexagon wall shelving and light, every time I try to use the shelf, I take it back down. The indoor garden room is strangely beautiful, but I think that is the point, right? I like the pony wild that leads to the secret room, filled with out-of-this-world treasures annnd the bathroom, I was looking for that…lol. Nice secret room to keep all the items hidden for the rest of the sim race, gotta protect them from what they don’t know. Hunter Burglerman is now just “H”! Thanks for participating.
@VeeNomNom - Beautiful cabin in the woods. The tall trees and landscaping seamless for this house. The exterior is whimsical in a way, thinking Hansel and Gretel. If I were a sim, I wouldn't know which porch I would want to sit on; they are all great! Nice attic secret room, a good place to hide those stolen possessions. Yes, the entry to the room is very well hidden! If I had not started at the top, I might have missed it. Nice library to study up on the history to loot. The bedroom is the optimal size for just sleeping along with the bathroom. Love the fireplace choice for this cabin. Nice job adding the laundry/utility room. The open concept kitchen, dining, and living room are cozy but spacious at the same time. Your brown color palette is perfectly blended, and it does not feel dark which is awesome. Thanks for participating!
