I love that with Get Famous, we got security fencing and gates. However, there is a flaw in the locking mechanism that is problematic, at best. We can lock the gate for everyone but household members. We can even allow servants access. However, when throwing a Charity Event or other such party there is no way to simply Buzz someone in. No way to unlock for Guests only. This would be a great help. I have a Global Superstar who has a Stan and a couple of Obsessed Fans, besides. (Road to Fame mod.) It surely would be wonderful to be able to keep security up, without simply unlocking the gate, so the guests can straggle in (they sometimes take their sweet time arriving) and if I lock the gate once the guests are all there, then I have to be mindful to unlock it to allow them to leave again. It's a hassle and takes me from managing the Event to making certain the Stan, Obsessed Fans or others not necessarily invited aren't roaming through the celebrity's house to take what they will. The whole point of the gate is SECURITY. Even if my Sim has to put up with the doorbell ringing until the very last guest arrives, it would be better than leaving the lot unguarded for the entire evening. I really don't like it when he or another Sim in the household must chase away the intruders. Because they also take their time leaving and I'm left waiting to lock the gate behind them.
