The moment poor Wilma realized her bottom hurts after sliding that evil thing!
My love, my love, my fearless love, I will not say goodbye..
Sea may rise, sky may fall, My love will never die..
My heart, my heart, My drowning heart, Oh all the tears I've cried
Oh I may weep forevermore, My love will never die..
@Zimz4 If you don't already know this, you should look on the ground near the tree that was struck. You may just find a gem.
Thanks, no I didn't. My sims seem to be universally scared of thunderstorms and run indoors so fast it's like they seen the grim reaper or something. I know there's a purchasable trait to make them like thunderstorms, but I'm afraid that it would make a sim just too giddy when there's a thunderstorm. There doesn't seem to be an oh-it's-a-thunderstorm-/shrug,-cool-flash-of-lightning,-hey-a-shiney,-joink-mine-now-attitude mode. So I haven't really been out with my sims to enjoy any lightning shows in the game yet.

I think I saw someone make a comment once that was if you have a Sim declare rain as a weather preference, they won't get tense during the thunderstorms. I haven't tried it though.

My younger sister in RL had an almost obsession with the thunderstorms on her first visit to Jamaica. She spent hours video taping them. Face/palm.
@Ellupelluellu That picture from the slide reminds me of my raucous youth. Back in the 60s when parents weren't helicopter and we pretty much did what we wanted, as kids, so long as we were home before the street lights turned on. Some of us would head over to the school yard to enjoy the equipment. And, we would bring squares of Wax Paper with us to make the slide faster. Yeah. Guilty as charged, but it was so much fun! And, no, I didn't leave it crumpled on the ground. I was taught better than that.

A pic of my sim and one of her college roommates. She was already quite pretty for a computer generated sim, and thus the only roomie that didn't require extensive facial reconstruction. I just gave her some makeup, eyelashes, and changed her hair.

That's something I discovered recently in my trailer park household. After a big lightning storm there was all sorts of weird 'gems' lying around.
