Hello @blooedygeorgee
It sounds like you have run out of room on the C drive, so your game can’t open. Your computer may also not be able to handle running the game. It would be best to post about your issues on a thread in the AHQ EA Tech section and simmers can check to see if your computer can handle running the game https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/bd-p/The-Sims-4
Hey guys, I need some help. So a load of my CC wasn't showing in the game whilst the other bits were. I tried everything that everybody had suggested including trying to reset the mods folder by moving it to desktop, booting the game however there was no new folder created... so I uninstalled and then reinstalled the game to just start all over again... HOWEVER, the Electronic Arts folder within my documents has completely gone, it isn't anywhere when I search my hard drive and it is not in the trash. As I said, I have reinstalled the game etc and the file has gone BUT the game itself is still booting up fine, just no custom content :s
I have followed the correct path of Documents > Electronic Arts > Sims 4 > Mods etc and it has all completely gone, not a single file to be seen in sight!
Hello @Gabbigale123
Co you use One Drive? If you do it could be causing this issue, Try seeing if there is a mods folder or Sims 4 folder in One Drive . The game may be using that mods folder instead of the one in Documents -Electronic Arts -sims 4 folder . One Drive can cause issues,
If you don’t use One Drive, try using the search bar on your computer , and search again to see if there may be another mods folder on your computer that the game is using instead of the one that should be directly in the sims 4 folder. The game sounfs like it also using a sims 4 folder that is not in the normal location.
Hey guys I need help! Thank accidentally deleted my resource file and I don’t know what to do. I’m new to mods and was a dummy and messed up without realizing ! Please help! 😭😭

Hello @SDBee1
When you next load the game, a new resource.cfg file will be generated.
You can just load an old one, then exit the game, and a new resource.cfg file will have been generated.
It still didn’t load one 😭 Idk if I’m doing something wrong or what .
Hello
Try moving your whole mods folder to the desktop. Launch the game, and a new mods folder will be generated in the sims 4 folder.. Exit the game. Check that a new mods folder has been generated.
If it hasn’t, do you use One Drive? If you do it could be causing this issue, Try seeing if there is a mods folder in One Drive . The game may be using that mods folder instead of the one in Documents -Electronic Arts -sims 4 folder . One Drive can cause issues,

@rosemow I already downloaded my cc's. And it already showed up in my mods/cc list in menu. But the cc's I downloaded wasn't in the gallery. (sim & houses downloaded in tsr)

Only CC files ending in .package go in the Mods folder. The files for houses and actual Sims go in the tray folder.

Redownloading is not necessary. When you restart the game, a new resource.cfg file will be created for you, with access to subfolders.

I am sorry but I don’t use a Mac. It would be best to start a thread in the Mac section on the AHQ EA site and post about your issues there.
