My first stop is Sims Resource. Has been since the TS1 days. There are other sources you can find, but there is the danger of getting more than the wanted download.

I've been using these two mostly.

    https://maxismatchccworld.tumblr.com/
    https://lilsimsiecc.tumblr.com/

My favourite cc creator here https://simlaughlove.tumblr.com/ I love her cas items so much.

MaxisMatchCCworld is the best! Lilsimsie's cc tumblr is good. And I also love OshinSims cc tumblr :)

I mostly used TheSimsResource and DownWithPatreon to get the CC I want (until the latter got shut down yesterday.) I also use Lana Sims, Tumblr, Simsdom and I think that’s really it.

I basically just find stuff by searching up the tag "sims 4 cc" on tumblr. Lot's of great results pull up. Tumblr is great especially for maxis match cc.

I find most of them in TSR, sims 4 updates which includes items that not included in TSR, and there I usually download items from another sites of many creators and making a wide search afterwards, in their sites as well.

when starting a CC I never know where to start or what even to type in to find the best CC for my sims. (especially kids and toddlers and males)

I’d like to know where the best websites are to find your CC and what you type in to search! :)

If you love a creator and have tons of CC by them already and can afford a few bucks a month I would recommend the creator's Patreon page. However, if you want free sites that are good. I love Sims Resource Center for CC. I like Remus Sirion and DAS Fantasy for the most part. I love a more fantasy/gothic look for my sims. I love Redheaded Sims and Slay Classy Nitro Panic and many others on Simsdom for a more street look. I love Studio K for the anime, and J-Pop/K-Pop feel. If I am looking for a specific anime character I check Studio K's site first. Or if I want something I would find in Shibuya that is trendy for my teens and young adults. I love ZouTou for the lolita style that I often give my teen and young adult sims.

    I've only used -

Modthesims - for my everyday mods
SACRIFICIAL 's website - for mods that I "punish" my Sims with... mostly >:)

TSR and modthesims are my go to for most things, but a lot of good sim creators operate mostly on Tumblr, so depending on what type of cc you're looking for search Tumblr for 'maxis match cc' or alpha cc and just follow whatever blogs you stumble upon. it is a bit of a rabbit hole on Tumblr butonce you find few of your favourite creators it gets easier
