  Unfortunately you can only be the manager and nothing else.
  Why is the word restaurant such an obstacle?

  Yes! Cook and waiter are no playable careers. But as a manager you have a lot of influence. Look here:

  only 7 customers come to my restaurant a day even through i have a 5 star restaurant. what should i do?

  Dont know where to write this ... so i'm doing it here :smiley:
  
  I have been reading and seen that many are asking for the opportunity to own and run your own restaurant as a family. Therfore I believe that if some of us started a petition and got as many votes as posible the gamemakers could see an idea in creating this in an update or in a EP.

  Am I the only one having issues getting the restaurant to load when you make a new sim family? I cant visit the restaurant with my new sim families.
