Holiday decorations won't go away even if the holiday is long gone

There appears to be an issue where the holiday decorations (the ones on fences, eaves and so on) won't go away from other lots. All of the houses in the neighborhood where my Sim lives in didn't have their decoration taken off, but this was fixed by repairing the game. However, the decorations on the community lot that my Sims visited during the holiday still has the holiday decorations, even after the repair. I could probably get rid of them by using the decorations box from build mode, but do I really have to take automatically placed decorations manually off?

Well, I tested the method of taking the decorations away manually with the box, but I couldn't since it's a community lot.

Try testing in a new save game to see if the same thing occurs there also. This is just to test to see if it is occurring in just one of your saves or multiple ones.

I have this problem in just one of my saves as well (so far it’s just one). The odd thing about it is that it happened in my vanilla test save, and isn’t occurring in my old save that I use mods and CC in. Whenever I get a new pack I remove the entire folder and let the game make a new one, just to make sure I don’t have traces of leftover mod issues or anything. I haven’t played my old save very long yet, but the neighbors did take down the decorations from the one holiday I had in that save so far. It seems like a bug or glitch of some kind since it only happens in that one of the 3 saves I've played.

I also have this problem, even with a new save. I have tried with and without mods. After 2 or 3 days my Sims planned another Holiday. Her house was decorated for the new Holiday, the others had the old Holiday décorations. Once this new Holiday finished the houses did not have any décorations but the community lots still had the first décorations.

I have this issue too. It's mid summer and other lots still have Love Day decorations up.

I have this issue as well. I make a holiday for the next day with no decoration theme set and the surrounding buildings will take their decorations down. Then just delete the holiday. It's annoying having to do it after every holiday with decorations though.

This is a brand new save, tried taking out all mods/cc, repairing the game, etc. Nothing is a permanent fix but at least there is a workaround for now until it's fixed.

Hello
Try scheduling a new custom holiday, and choose the settting to have no decorations. Try seeing if that will remove the decorations from the lots.

This worked like a charm @rosemow I have a save that has had Love Day decorations up for months! I made a holiday called "Broomsday" with no decoration theme and the Love Day stuff is gone. Thanks.
