Loud, irritating buzzing noise coming from nowhere

It kinda sounds like idk like machinery, like imagine being right next to a big electrical device. It's a deep buzzing sound.
There is a loud sound that was coming from the bathroom in my sim's house and I thought it was the Pottymouth toilet so I deleted it but it still persisted.
Then I removed everything from the bathroom and it still persisted.
Now I have deleted everything from the rooms surrounding the bathroom and it's still there.
I completely deleted the bathroom and merged it into the room next to it and now the sound is seemingly generating from both rooms.
It can't be heard on the above floor and there is not broken electrical appliance.
It's really getting on my nerves now.

I hopefully attached a picture to this post and circled the source of the noise but I don't know if it's actually going to post.

Did you perhaps have a bubbles machine in your home? Some simmers have found that noises persist after removing the machine.

I do have a bubbles machine but it's at the other end of the house. And the buzzing noise sounds more like a treadmill.
Could it still be linked?
The sound the bubbles machine makes is different to the sound I'm hearing.

Try removing the other bubbles machine just in case it helps.

Try having your sim travel to another lot and then back home again. Then test to see if the issue remains.

Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" or " options " file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder.
Then test to see if the noise is still there.

I have this problem (annoying, eerie buzzing noise in bathrooms) in at least one home, too (two bathrooms next to each other, 1st basement level). I have changed the 'Talking Toilet' control panel settings (my toilets have complete handiness updates), but that doesn't change anything. I've got keyboard musical instruments two rooms away, I put those in inventory, it doesn't change a thing. The annoying noise is still there. In my case, it started with the June 2018 patch for the June 2018 update. The lot did not have the problem before, these two bathrooms have been there a long time.

Try saving the bathroom to your library. Then delete the bathroom. Then place the saved bathroom back into the home. and see if the noise issue remains.

If you have a bubbles machine,remove it and see if that helps.
If you know where the noise is, try saving that room to your library, delete the room. Then place the saved room back into the home. Test to see if the noise issue remains.
Completely coming out of the game, deleting the cache files

I don't know what a bubbles machine is so I can only guess that I don't have one and i've been having this problem the past couple of days. I've been unable to find the location of the buzzing sound and nothing in the house is broken. I saved, loaded a different lot, then saved and went back to the original lot again to see if it would be gone and it wasn't.

I began to worry it was actually my headphones going bad or something! For once i'm glad to hear others have been having the same problem. lol

I can only assume its difficult to locate the source of the sound if your speakers/headphone doesnt work well with directional sound.

Its the potty mouth. Its making this sound only briefly but the bug causes the sound to loop endlessly until the game is restarted. Even removing the item while the bug is there doesnt make it stop.
