Rodent Death

My current sim has owned 3 rodents (hedgehogs) during her lifetime, and they have all died. However, whenever I load up the game, or exit CAS, a notification comes up to say that the first rodent that she owned has died, and all of the sims in the household receive the sad moodlet. I have not bought the household another rodent for a while. Is anybody else experiencing this?

Repairing the game may help. To do that, go to games library in Origin, right click on the sims 4 picture and click repair
Try deleting the cache files and see if that helps
