Sims Mobile - What do you think so far

I started playing this week. I’ve played every version of Sims since the original, loved some versions, couldn’t get into others. I do like Sims Mobile so far. I can’t play desktop games any more due to a neck injury and have been missing my busy little Sims. This app gets me back into the Sims world again.

So far it seems similar to other app games - lots of clicking and waiting and checking back and ads - but I like the graphics (I play on iPad), I like the parties and having friends, and I like being able to boost careers with objects at work. The fact that clothing/furniture is so pricey means I’ve lost interest in that part of the game for now because I never spend money on in app purchases until I fully understand how the tokens etc work.

I wasted all my in-game resources in the beginning on cupcakes because there were just so many tokens and energy bars to learn and track, but instead of starting over I figured that just like real life sometimes you just need to work your 🐸🐸🐸🐸 off and get back on top of things, so my Sims had a boring day and a half of nothing but long work shifts.

I don’t like the daily push to add stuff to your house and I’m worried it’ll be like another game I played where you had to spend money to purchase larger storage so you could tidy up the area other players could view - the house in Sims Mobile.

I really hope there are seasonal and holiday items and events to keep things interesting.

My Sims got married this morning. I finally figured out all you need to do is click the wedding arch!

@livingforwards there's already a season event Christmas themed events with snow places and all that jazz. But it was back in the softlaunch version. You can check the items of that events out on my house here's my friend code : HYC9F67

@Hardernater I went to the party at your house today and was so amazed at what you've done with the place. Your house is awesome and I want that DJ booth so bad lol. :D

I have been playing this since it became available worldwide. My only problem with it is that it doesn't give you enough energy to complete events (30 energy per Sim is just not enough. I hope it gets increased in an update). I have used up the Sim Cash (the green money) buying cupcakes to get my 2 Sims to finish events. I'm down to 14 Sim Cash now. Other than this I am enjoying the game, especially the new event going on now. Gives me something to do in between rounds of crafting in Sims Freeplay right now in the Backyard Beautification Live Event.

I'm all over the map in how I feel about the game. In no particular order:

    * The sim cash price for some of the items are ridiculous! And outrageous. $145 for toddler bed while it's $75 for child bed; $155 for cutting board. Outrageous
    * Can't sell back build/buy. Why?
    * Everything is story driven and the story to be told has been created by the developers not the players. Should be able to do both
    * Toddlers and children are non-playable and basically hang around doing nothing
    * This appears to be all about YA/Adults.
    * Game run pretty smooth in my opinion
    * I really like that I can queue up an event and go about my life while the sim completes the event independently.
    * So many animations used from ts4 and new ones in mobile not in pc version such as feeding the baby in the high chair. It would be nice to have that.

Bottom line, the way I understand this game, more will be added. I'm waiting to see how the game improves

I was playing right up to the point where I spent 250 ducks thinking I was going to unlock the full set and I got 1 item. Yeah... uninstalled after that. Spending all day working for ducks is very boring and the reward/payoff was very lame.

@Hardernater You're welcome! I was just about to type that in the party chat when I saw the notification bubble pop up on here lol.

As a free player I'm getting used to this style. Not that I don't play these "wait or pay" games, but with The Sims it's just something new. The gameplay itself is not terrible, but it does need tweaks and fixes and more stuff/interactions should be added. I like that there are genetics and retirement, at least I can have more fun trying to mix some sims. As I said in the feedback, unplayed NPCs that live with you (spouses/kids) need AI, now they're just standing there and being pretty. But so far I kinda enjoy it, cannot complain, it's for free after all. (And I'm not gonna spend money on it.)

I actually love it!! The first time I have played a mobile Sims game for longer than 5minutes. I'm hooked!

It's good for playing on my spare time. Just waiting for updates of new items/interactions.

Maybe an idea for the party system would be to add a priority system to a friend's party or more ways to send direct support to their houses besides party bonuses. I can see the downsides, though, that players would prefer their friends homes and discourage exploring new players/non-friend houses to party/socialize with.

I really like The Sims Mobile so far. I played Freeplay when it originally came out, but eventually lost interest. This new gameplay is addicting! I really like the idea of generations and heirlooms. Building a large family tree is what I love most about the Sims and I can't wait to see how things like babies/kids/elders work.

I rather like the Sims Mobile better than Free play but I'm confused as to how to connect with my friends on their, I've added their code & connected to social media but won't actually let me meet her or socialise with her. I can only view her house??

I have been a sims fan since I first played it. I thought that Sims Freeplay was very good in terms of the kids that you can control, that they don’t grow up so fast. They’ve got hobbies and go to school. Those were the perks I liked. Sims mobile on the other game is also great, but the kids you can’t control, they grow up too fast. Retirement is really soon, and I just wish they can change it. Please sims crew change it. With the next update

I don't like how old everyone in the neighborhood is after a week or so of gameplay. I have all new sims (4 kids of my first generation), but they can't seem to meet anyone at jobs or home that isn't elderly. There should be regular adults and kids out too.

I'm level 20 and have completed all the quests that have been given to me, will I get more? Or do I now have to retire my sims and start again with new ones?

Can anybody help me? I need to give three people stickers today. I give stickers to every other player I see, when they don’t ‘receive’ it. When I click on them again, I have to give the sticker again. Can somebody help me with this? I really don’t get it!

Attend a party. There are usually a lot of people there you can give stickers to. Sometimes Sims group up and when you click on someone it looks like the same person you already spoke with, but really it is someone different.

The easiest way to tell if it really is the same person is by looking at your interaction options. If you have already made a friendly/flirty/confrontational introduction, then a new option will be present. If introduction options are present, then it is a different person. Also, you can keep inventory of your stickers and see if you are down one or not.

    Just some thoughts.
