Just loaded up the game specifically to download some stuff from the gallery - game said I needed to connect, and then said something about Sims servers being unavailable or whatever. Just want to know if the servers are down for other people or if it's a problem on my end. Thanks!

We're not seeing any issues on our end.
Are you still experiencing this issue? If so, can you please send me ConnectionStatus.txt? (Located in \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\)

Try uninstalling and reinstalling origin and see if that helps the issue.

I am sorry that you are having this issue. I am glad that you are eventually able to connect, but sorry that you have issues to start off with.
If you haven't done it already, shut down your computer completely. Start the computer again, then launch the game and see if that helps

Why? This only started to happen recently..
I AM connected to Internet and everything is fine i can serf the web or whatever and the laptop shows my WiFi is connected..(and even getting updates normally)
Seems something wrong in Sims 4 can't Go online!
I always take my laptop on the truck with me when I go to work with hubby. I ALWAYS play offline, no problem. Just log onto origin in offline mode and start my game.
This weekend origin kept saying my password was in correct and wouldn't log on. So I turned my phone into a WiFi hot spot, as soon as I connected my laptop to it, without me touching origin, origin logged on and my game started.
They really need to fix these online issues.

Try shutting down your computer completely. Start the computer again, then launch the game and see if that helps.

I am also getting the box appearing that graventhe has posted an image off. My internet connection is fine and the other day it took five attempts at showing this box before I was able to connect. At one time I used to get notifications if someone had downloaded one of my builds while I was in game but as soon as I start to play a game I seem to get disconnected.

Just recently I have started getting disconnected only a few minutes after managing to connect. I had to reconnect twice while viewing my Profile and Catalogue. It never used to do this.
