Can the UK version of Katy Perry Sweet Treats be installed with the US version of the Sims 3?

I lost all of my sims games in a fire about a year and a half ago, I'm finally at a point where I can try to replace my collection (since the Sims 4 has way too many loading screens for my play style, I'd be facing a loading screen every five minutes since I'm always switching between sims that are often on different lots). However the only copies of the Katy Perry stuff pack that I can find are the UK version, and I'm in the US with the US version of the main game. So I was wondering if the two versions were even compatible? Or am I going to be forever without candy-themed stuff in my game?

The Sims 3 is region free, so it will work. Also if you need the Katy Perry Sim I have a link to it in my signature
