Parent's feel nothing to their child being taken?

Don't know if this is the right place to post this, sorry.
I had my child starve with cheats, and when he was taken away, I was expecting some sort of response. But no! The parents feel NOTHING to this! No emotional moodlets or anything... like it was a normal day and they just went on with their lives... was wondering if this is a bug or if there really is nothing in the game for reactions to these events. Seems weird.

Hello,
I am sorry that the parents in your game didn't react to their child being taken away. It is sad that it happened. Sims react to situations that occur, and it sounds like it was a glitch in your game that there wasn't a response by them. Another time if the situation occurs, they may react differently.

I was doing a speed through trying to get the perfect growfruit; had two babies, but had two parent sims with no jobs and a sim that worked nights. I thought they would be okay, but I would stop speeding and check on them. Well, I guess it took too long to do the right thing--i got the growfruit, gave it to jasmine and when I got back to my lot, I found out the babies were taken away...everyone was sad--even those that didn't have the family oriented trait. Good thing I didn't do a save--had to redo everything, but was more careful this time.
