My Sims 3 Game flickers black then back to the game,HELP!!

Hi,my sims 3 game keeps flickering black and back to the game.I've read a little bit on it and apparently it's either my graphics card or my RAM.
I've updated my drivers,I always clean my PC twice with Advanced SystemCare 7,I've even uninstalled useless programs on my laptop that took up so much space and it still flickers.I also use CCleaner.
I do have quite a bit of Custom Content,but they're all safe for my game so that can't be the problem,can it?
The flickering started a few weeks ago and only if I stay on too long it starts to flicker.It never crashes when it flickers either,it's just very annoying and I end up giving up playing because of it.
Please,someone help me.
