I'll complain and you'll complain, but are you actually going to get it.
I'm not sure about myself. But if I do get it and it disappoints me than I might not feel the same about The Sims again.

What?

It's a thing: "Complaining about shows you don't watch". Basically too many people all over the internet (and before that, in newspapers etc) write long complicated rants about things they have never seen, eaten, listened to etc. See, for example, the Fox News outrage about ME2 back in the day.
It wasn't exactly a rant or long, though, neither was it complicated.

Whats this, a voice of reason? I fully understand the complaining about the lack of features. I get that I do. But no one knows if the game is going to be good or not until they actually play it. For those of you unwilling or unable to take the chance and spend the money what is wrong with doing what Mulboro just said before you make up your mind the game is donkey poo? In other words, just because infants and pools and or whatever else is missing dosn't mean it's not fun. Maybe it won't be fun but at least read/watch some reviews after it comes out before you make up your minds.

I agree about the complaining about the shows you don't watch 100%. But I don't think thats what the OP did.
But I never said so. It was a comment to explain the EXPECTATION that he or she would.
So yes, I'm buying the base game but I wouldn't say that I'm feeling too excited about it.
