I own all of the female ones from this set except for the "Audrey Hepfire Vintage." I don't own any of the male ones.
I do wish more of them were coded as formal wear. If "Contessa Vintage" was formal wear I would use it all the time for elder sims, but I don't think I've ever used it as everyday wear. Same thing with "Pearl Draped Vintage," although I have actually used that one as everyday, but it would work really well for formal.

I bought the "Jackie Oh My Suit" because it reminded me of the sim who would slap in you in Sims 2 for kissing in public, lol. She really hated PDA.
I finally got the ladies clothing pics up... I might have some bad news though; My husband started a new job today. Yay for him! For me on the other hand... my husbands job is from 7am to 7pm; and that means I have no help at all with my little one. If today is any indication of how things are going to go. I'm not going to be able to keep the thread up at the current pace.
:? That isn't to say that I'm closing the thread or giving up on it. But the time I can commit to working on it has been greatly reduced. We'll just have to see how it goes. I'm heavily leaning towards discussion sets will not be every week but just when I'm able to complete a new one. Sorry if this caused any dissapointment.

All right, I've finished sorting through my old screen shots and here is what I came up with.
First out is the Jackie Oh My Suit Vintage modeled by an aging Agnes C.
I think that if you pair it with white tights the gloves look less "off" and kind of cool in a vintage kind of way.
Next up is my sim Elise in the Pearl Draped Vintage. I paired it with the tattered short skirt from Supernatural for a whimsical and fun look. Incidentally I think she is the youngest looking elder I ever had.
We round of wit my sim Frida in the Betty Blouse Vintage. I think this is a great shirt since it take patterns very well. It's also great with both skirts and trousers and probably the most versitile piece of the whole bunch (except for the Puttin' On The Glitz Vintage shoes that go with everything and are super easy to recolor).
I don't have a pic of the male clothes but the one I've used the most by far is the R&R Vintage. It's a great looking casual top for elderly gentlemen.

:? Hopefully it won't be a long term thing. He is going to another shift after the training but we just don't know how long it will be. They told him today that training would be about four months on this shift before they place him but that it's not set in stone.

I agree with you about the shirts. If they ever give another elder set, I think I would prefer tops and bottoms as it would give more options.

Doing an afternoon check in... I see there is a bit of drama going on in the GG today so this will probably be knocked back fairly quickly. I should be around for a hour or so if my little one naps, otherwise might check in again around midnight.
The Jet Set Elder set!!! This was one of those that I didn't like all the pieces, but I bought up the majority of them. The pairings and recolors look wonderful, and I have to say it never even dawned on me to make those shoes all one color! I use them all the time, but always two-toned. That's such a remarkable difference!

Thanks! To be honest the pieces in this set are hit and miss for me. I find all of the men's clothing to be pretty good. I don't really care for the 3 female dresses, and I'm not crazy about the two tone shoes. They are just all sorta meh for me. :?

I'm not hard core about the number of pics rule as long as it doesn't get out of hand. As long as you stack them side by side I couldn't really tell if it was a buch of images or if you had used a tumbnail merger on them anyway. Just keep the total width at 600 or less.

I had thought about adding some text to the rules to the effect of judging by how many times you had to hit the page down button to see all of your post but I didn't because I thought it would confuse some people and not everyone uses the same screen res. As long as I don't have to page down more than 3 or 4 times I'm ok with it. :-)

Me too! I get a little antsy when I wonder how much time we have left that they will still be producing sims 3 content too... I know that we have 2 EP and a stuff pack comming so that should be at least 1 or 2 more years... if they only give us 1 set a month that would be 12 to 24 more sets. But it seems like they are more into cranking out worlds and venues lately. :? There are still so many things I want! :shock: And so many holes that need to be filled.

I think those recolors look fine. I was going to ask you what happened to the gloves in the second pic. Did you use a color picker to match the skin tone or just do it by eye? It's a big improvement with that dress anyway.
I like the casino but I only play with it in Lucky Palms; because I think it looks out of place in the other worlds; and I'm too lazy to build one of my own. It doesn't really come with a lot of multi purpose pieces so if you aren't in love with it, I'd hold off for a good deal.
