I have met a weird problem with my sims after patch 1.5.
Every time some of my sims starts a stereo of any kind then all the sims in same room get 1 hour long bad wake up moodlet you normally get when they are sleeping and some loud noise is waking them up AND they come swarming to that stereo swithing it off... and because one of them is fairy it right after that switches it back on and of and on and off......

I have tried to clear chache, remove all mods and even fresh start new neighbour, none works.

I read in the patch 1.50 blog that gloves were no longer showing up twice in outerwear. I never had this problem before so I just continued reading. As I wanted to try out Dumpster diving, I created a new game to test it, instead of a current game in case it messed up, I wouldn't have to start from scratch.

When creating the new sim I noticed that I now have two pairs of gloves showing up twice after I patched. The gloves thats came with ShowTime and the long fingerless gloves from Generations.

As I didn't have this problem before I assume it's because of the patch. I have not tested it in a current saved game though. If you can help me at on with this, I would be very grateful.

    1. Are you using any Custom Content or mods ? No.

    2. If you are using mods, are you using any of the 'big ones' like Awesome Mod or Twallan’s mods?

    3. If you're not using mod, did you never use them or did you take them out for the EP (as you are supposed to do)

    4. Did you update the mods you put back with a compatible version ?

    5. Do you have University Live or just the Patch ? Patch.

    6. Which Patch Level are you at ? 1.50

    7. Did you start a new game or are you playing an existing ones ? Started a new one.

    8. Did you transfer an existing Sim over or are they new/Pre-Made ? New sim.

    9. What town are you currently playing ? EA or Custom ? EA.

    10. What is your Operating System (Mac, XP, Vista, Win 7) Win 7

    11. Do you have the download or DVD Version of the game. Base game is disk, all the rest are downloads.

@exotickitten: Could you also make a post with your info/specs. If you plan to report more. I'll gladly add you to the first page.

I'd be more than happy to, but I haven't quite figured out how to with windows 8 yet. It is way different than any other windows before. Actually here, it's this pc.

I used all digital downloads this time for installs, & I am having no launcher issues for the first time ever. I have no mods or cc at all. Completely fresh game, because it's a new laptop.

I did upgrade the video drivers for both the default grpahics on the hard drive (Intel HD Graphics 4000) and the nvidia card (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M). I also made sure to check for updates through the control panel for the whole system. It had 24 mandatory updates and a few optional ones. Of course I installed all of them. I'm sorry I just haven't found the "run" yet.

@ceejay402: I'll add the leave thingy. Did you delete the cache files by now ?

    @Mstybl95: Haven't heard of that. I'll add

@elanorbreton: Ah, he's so cute. I think it's just happening for pre-patch Sims. Can you try a new elder and see if you get the same glitch ?

    @tereiditsy: Sounds weird. I'll add

@Arkham_Zombie: I'll add. Don't have a solution for it. I honestly can't remember if stuff was showing up twice in my game before. I can check though once I'm back home cause I have not patched my actual game.

@exotickitten: You don't have to post the whole dxdiag. Processor, RAM, Graphic Card & OS will do.

To get dxdiag do the following though

    - Press the Windows key to make sure you're on the tile view
    - Start typing: dxdiag. A box will pop up on the right hand side and you'll see the apps it finds that match the text
    - Hit enter once you typed the whole text. Window will open.

    --

I'll be adding in the morning. Too tired right now. Good night

Not sure what this is (bug, glitch or something else) but trying to get EA to take note that Sims are not cooling off when they get the warming up (warm all over) moodlet.
I've tried swimming in both pool & ocean, ice cream, snow cones & drinking a quick drink & other cold drinks.
None of these seem to cool the sim off. The only thing that does work is sending sim inside a building.
This will have a negative effect on game play with Island Paradise.
Just bringing it to your attention, hoping maybe someone will fix this.
If the Sims will be living on houseboats & the weather will most likely be warm a lot, this will cause problems. At the least it will be a major pain in the rear to deal with.
It's been noted this problem was in existence before the 1.50 patch though.
Apologize for posting this problem so much & if this is the wrong place to post it please pardon.
    Thanks.

I hope that's enough. I looked for the specs you would need... But I can't read that mess. There's too much in it.

    Hi Crin and others,

I've noticed that the simbots can no longer fulfill their "human interaction" need by talking to appliances. They still get the option to "converse with" but once chatting to the microwave or food processor their social need bar still slowly decays as if they are not doing anything. They also no longer go over to the appliances autonomously to start talking to them when they are lonely.

I have tried resetting the simbots, playing in a different game, creating new bots, using old ones, replacing the microwaves etc. but the problem still occurs.

I believe this is an issue caused by an older patch but as I am using a mac I am unable to update to Patch 1.50 yet to test whether this has been fixed, so thought I should post here just in case it should be listed as one of the unfixed issues. (Also I couldn't find it listed on any of the other bug threads so wasn't sure where to post the problem.)

    1. Are you using any Custom Content or mods ? No, neither
    2. If you are using mods, are you using any of the 'big ones' like Awesome Mod or Twallan’s mods No.
    3. If you're not using mod, did you never use them or did you take them out for the EP (as you are supposed to do) Never used.
    4. Did you update the mods you put back with a compatible version ? N/A
    5. Do you have University Live or just the Patch ? Neither.
    6. Which Patch Level are you at ? 1.48
    7. Did you start a new game or are you playing an existing ones ? Playing older games.
    8. Did you transfer an existing Sim over or are they new/Pre-Made ? Effects both pre-existing and new simbots.
    9. What town are you currently playing ? EA or Custom ? EA. Starlit shores, Riverview,
    10. What is your Operating System (Mac, XP, Vista, Win 7) Mac
    11. Do you have the download or DVD Version of the game. DVD

Again, I apologise if this is in the wrong thread. I hope someone can let me know if this has been fixed or if there is a work around for it. :)

Hi crinrict. I have a rather small problem and I hesitated to put it up here because I didn't think it would be important enough and you said you only wanted big ones but here it is anyway  :

I am missing one of the base game roof colors. It is a green color and it is not the deep jade tile or green scalloped roof. It's used in Appaloosa Plains on several houses including the Marshall household's house. Now the houses roofs are replaced with the burnt red tile roof. I looked for the green roof color and even tried to find it in different save files. I have never encountered this problem before until I patched my game with 1.50.

    1. Are you using any Custom Content or mods? Yes actually. I have two: Nraas Traveler and nointro.

    2. If you are using mods, are you using any of the 'big ones' like Awesome Mod or Twallan’s mods? Yes I do have the Traveler mod.

    3. If you're not using mod, did you never use them or did you take them out for the EP (as you are supposed to do)

    4. Did you update the mods you put back with a compatible version ? Yes I did so for Traveler I do not think there is one for nointro though.

    5. Do you have University Life or just the Patch ? Just the Patch

    6. Which Patch Level are you at ? patch 1.50

    7. Did you start a new game or are you playing an existing ones ? Existing ones

    8. Did you transfer an existing Sim over or are they new/Pre-Made ? Existing

    9. What town are you currently playing ? Several but mainly Appaloosa Plains and Sunset Valley.

    10. What is your Operating System (Mac, XP, Vista, Win 7) Windows 7

    11. Do you have the download or DVD Version of the game? DVD version

I updated to 1.50 using the super patcher, which installed quite nicely. Before updating, I removed all mods. I cleared cache files before and after updating. I now cannot log in, in-game..my log in credentials work great here on site, and the launcher automatically logs in..I can see my avatar, etc on welcome screen. However, when I load up the game, and it attempts to connect, I get "invalid email address and/or password. Please try again" . I have tried multiple times, and I know what I type is correct..I also have updated Java to most current..still no help. I contribute this to patch, since I have never had this issue before..??
Edit: Forgot to mention..Origin is also updated.

@ANNAPTX I noticed that too. I thought it was just my connection, but normally there's no issue. :?

    okay my report this evening..

so im still without mods..and thanks i finally just cleaned out my cache files..so starting tomorrow ill be refreshed

    heres what ive got:

the only possible problem was ice skating ..so i tested a vampire, werewolf, fairy and human ...the human's skating was fine...all others didnt truly skate..but i cant remember if this is suppose to happen or not..

also my human when skating basically lost her outerwear..so changing into skates makes her return to being in daily wear..though no changing of outfit it just disappeared

also someone posted terrain paint tool not changing to square but staying a circle ...I had that happened but then I choose another option and then I was able to use the square tool..seems just sticky to me

oh leaves from the fall did disappear during winter hurray!

was able to build a second floor without crashing during a snow storm with xmas lights on. and go figure icicles formed while i was building

    screenshot_original.jpg

im happy to keep testing a saved game with no mods if u like but i just got AS so im also going to start a regular game..let me know if it matters to u that my test world is mods free or not..its easy to pull so no problem...ive got a few more things to test and am happy to test anything folks post here ..but it doesn't seem much..at least not yet...which is good...so I'll probably do one or two more postings for now ...I can also help test when UL drops..if its helpful happy to test..

.ha this seriously is the longest I've ever played without master controller...it actually wasn't as bad...but I miss my sliders

hope u have been enjoying skiing!

@faytheful: I tweeted with Graham about the warming up with beverages when Seasons first came out and he said that it does warm them up but not enough to make the moodlet go away. I'm not sure about the swimming.

@exotickitten: Don't feel stupid. The run is just one of the functions I use so much so I dug around on my test machine where I have Win 8 until I found how to do it.

I'll link your posts on the first page

@Simtan16: Good to hear, whatever it was

@sweetlittlecherry: No-one ever reported that. Wonder when it broke. I'll add

@Amerikajin42: That roof went missing with an earlier patch. It was either 1.47 or 1.48. I'll add it here.

@ANNAPTX: Try clearing the IE caches (needs to be IE not the browser you're normally using). If it doesn't help, please post in technical

    @ceejay402:

    - SN ice skating: That's a feature
    - Leaves: On community lots ? It always worked on residential ones. It's the community lots that's the issue.
    - Whatever makes you happy, really. I just need you to be without mods if you're reporting here.

Thanks for the report. I'll add your findings.

    == Updated through here ==

I've decided a link to specs/questions post for everyone. Who know if they'll be reporting more.

Everyone that makes a nice post with answered questions is now linked on the first page. What does this mean ?

If you have a new bug to report, make a new post but you don't have to answer the questions again. Should something change, please edit the post the I've linked and also tell me in your new post for the new bug report.

Please do still quote your older post if you're answering to a questions I've asked, especially when Uni is out (probably going to be busy here)

I hope I make sense. It's kinda hard to explain in a foreign language.

There is no problem with them warming up that I'm aware of.
The problem is they don't cool down. They get too warm & nothing cools them down except to have them go in a building. Swimming, snow cones, ice cream, cold drinks should all cool them off if they get too hot but they don't. Maybe I should tweet this to GuruGraham...

    Cute? Lol.

Yes, you are so right - tried with a newly created elder - no glitch. Perhaps we'll all have to kill off existing elders in new and interesting ways...

Or live with their cuteness until they die. Maybe it even helps to replace their cane. Could you try that for me ?

I'd be more than happy to, but I haven't quite figured out how to with windows 8 yet.

Lol, Windows 8 is amazing! To get to your dxdiag though, you'll go to the bottom left corner, hover over the Start square, right-click and hit "Search" then it'll bring you to your apps so then search for dxdiag and it will show that app, click it and there you go! :D

Sorry for late reply, didn't expect you to look that fast! Yes, you don't need to ask me, Crin - feel free to use the pic.

I went back in to the game with Dudley Racket and changed to his household, replaced his cane with the same type and - hey presto - no more squat little elder :D

New thing that recently come up. Don't know if it's new town or patch but when I use the "Add to household" cheat. I get the Multi-selected portrait glitch.

Information posted here. This time it's a new file just started - was adding homeless townies to the household and everything glitched out.

Update: This happens now no matter how I move people in and it doesn't matter what town I do it in.

Edit Again: Seems to only happen when you move in more than one person into your home. If you marry into another home, it doesn't happen.
