Trouble placing ducks in a pond

I'm having trouble placing ducks or other pond decorations and not have them float above the pond water line. I tend to make shallow and smallish ponds so it's hard to get them in that space and not have their grid clip to the highest point of terrain, which causes decoration to float.

Is anyone else having this problem or have a solution?

Just make a slightly bigger pond, or try to place them with MOO.

Yeah, the birds take a rather large space.

Swimming birds need to move about so they are not fit for the smaller ponds. You could try bb.moveobjects but then they might swim on land occasionally.

I turned them to a 20 degree angle in a pond that I made with 2 side by side clicks and they had babies swimming with them for a very short time.

They have a somewhat large footprint because of their movement. You need to place the ducks first and the pond plants afterwards.
