Issues with cured vampires, is that still a problem?

Quite a while ago I read about people on this forum who had problems with cured vampires still suffering from some weakness they had as a vampire. For example sims would feel bad for eating a meal because they had a withered stomach as a vampire. I stayed away from vampires for quite a while because of these issues.

I am currently playing a sims who is supposed to complete all aspirations and she is currently working on the vampire ones but I really don't want to keep her as a vampire once she is done with the aspiration. Do I still have to worry about this issue? Was it just specific perks/weaknesses causing problems?

I have no idea, but if guilty deinker is what's bothering you... Two of the vampires' weaknesses cause tense moodlets- a phobia of the sun, and the guilty drinker. If your sim gains the laid back trait from island living, all tense feelings go away, including those weaknesses

That is good thanks for pointing out that reward trait. I tried the reward trait you can buy with aspiration points to get rid of the tense emotion but that didn't seem to work.

Not sure but when I had this issue with an ex-vampire sim of mine, I got around the food thing by giving her the never hungry reward trait.

Bugs are also different for people. I've got a bug that no one else claims to have.

Well, there is one intentional thing that happens to ex-vampires: they have a chance of waking up with a special tense moodlet.

Is the anti tense moodlet reward called laid back? If not, there is a mod that offers all the reward traits from aspirations.

I have been playing in Forgotten Hollow with my challenge Sim this month and she completed all three aspirations. I had her take the cure and so far do not have any problems. From what I understand, it's random whether or not your vampire will be completely cured or not. However, there is a Mod you can put in place BEFORE they drink the cure and it will take care of any problems you might have. Here's a link to it, it's the Mod in the middle called "realvampirecure.":

You can just take the Mod out of your game after your vampire has taken the cure. Full credit goes to @Ellupelluellu for telling me about this Mod. Thank you Ellu! Good luck, I hope all goes well with your vampire.

I can't confirm this though because I have never wanted to cure my vampire. However, I did recently reset his powers/weaknesses using the Draught of Reconfiguration without problems.

That was the bug I was worried about. Thanks for the link to the bug report. I always have trouble finding them on the support site.

It depends on how long this bugs existed. I cured one of my sims as soon as she as she hit teen but that was eons ago, and didn’t have any issues.
