It's heeeeeeeere! ๐๐
Hi, everyone! With lots of people being being excited over Cottage Living coming out (myself included),
@MonaSolstraale and I thought it might be a good idea to give it its own thread.
We'd love to see some pictures of how everyone is playing with the pack! Are you starting a farm? Growing crops? Befriending bunnies? Attempting to woo eligible bachelor #1, Agnes Crumplebottom? Feel free to post some screenshots in here! ๐

Agnes! But no time to try and befriend her - the welcome wagon has arrived at my sim's house, and I do want her to meet her neigbours.
I only had a few minutes to check things out but in that time I found a bunny and the random household I played got a strange welcome wagon.
I went with Arthur and Guin, with the idea of having them walk around on autonomy. Maybe do some farming. I plopped them down on that small lot up the hill by the waterfall.
Right off the bat, this happens:
A fox pops up right next to my sims and is just dead-pan staring at Arthur. Right at him. With the cutest little shiny fox eyes I've ever seen. Just look at that thing ๐ Its name is Crystal and I love it.
I buy a cow and leave these two on autonomy to see what they would do. They're star-crossed lovers in my story and I figured I'd give them a break to flirt with each-
...aaaaand nope, Arthur goes straight for the fox and Guin goes straight for the cow. Typical. But good too - I haven't seen any interactions with foxes yet. I'm pretty curious.
Arthur ends up surprising me by suddenly deciding that he's done being a prince and instead, he wants to be a Disney princess.
Apparently he's good at it, too! ๐ถ๐คฃ
Omg. My heart. ๐ Look at its widdle face. Tell me we can adopt them. ๐
Bunny!
The village graveyard:
It's exciting to see all your photos. I can hardly wait to try out the game
It finally succeeded after I logged out of the origin and logged in again.
The time here is close to midnight so I probably won't get to take pictures until tomorrow ๐ฅฑ
I think I like the llamas the most. This is my sim selfie brushing a llama for which I think it is loving it. I tried to pet it first and the llama spat on my sim selfie....rude!
Then the chickens were my second favorite.
With the wild rabbits my third....for now.
Will check out the cows and foxes at a later time. I think EA/Maxis did a great job with this latest Pack.
As all the mods are broken now, I grabbed a spare sim for a new playthrough. She's a loner that doesn't like people.
She met the grocery store lady on day two.
I don't know what this is, but I'm all for it. ๐
Also a bonus that made me almost fall off my chair laughing:
Even if they can't swim I love that the pond is interactive and sims can walk threw it even at different levels. Going to finish it up today. Need to work on the vines and surrounding area.
First baby chick! It's a little rooster.
(I'm regretting a little that I started my game in the winter because all my screenshots are gloomy. But I only have one day left until spring.)
I think so far this is my favorite picture. I love that the hens automatically seek company with the cow ... or maybe they seek protection.
Hello cow, shall we be friends?
The cow's gaze made me burst into laughter
The next morning, Anne tries to calm the cow before milking.
It did not go too well
Are there any evil cows?
I love the facial expression of the cow in the last image. Priceless!
@PalmArrow I did not expect a reference to badminton on the forums. Man, I miss that sport. I'm curious to what traits Agnes's boyfriend has. ๐ lots of bag-slapping incoming...
This is so sweet to see first thing in the morning.... ๐ญ
UPDATE ON THIS: If your sim marries Michael Bell, the Creature Keeper, and has a baby, there is no special trait. Also, once the Creature Keeper comes out of the Bramblewoods, there is another Creature Keeper that takes their place. So, this works like the Hermit in Granite Falls.
More under spoiler cut:
My sim then went to visit a wild bunny she is befriending.
Because the calendar showed New Year's eve, I almost missed the fact that there was also a cow fair.
My sim doesn't keep cows, so this was her chance to socialise with one.
I don't know why the mayor and the cow are staring at each other like this!
@mercuryfoam , oops, I hadn't noticed that my sentence was ambiguously worded! I meant my sim was being romantic with her own boyfriend. Agnes doesn't have a boyfriend, as far as I know!
