They put so much into the fan animations, I can’t think they would have done that for just one short week…… so I think a band, or a concert pack might be coming.
my guess is we will be lucky to get a new pack before October and then I hope it a fairy and or Werewolf pack and then a new expansion packs before xmas I am hoping generations but who know I've been wrong before and I'd love a bands and music related pack

You're probably right, but I hope not, both features would be really great additions to the game, and hopefully it won't take forever to get both.
I mean, in theory we could even get both in one pack. Just imagine, your band based in DSV books a tour in another world and you have the option to check into a hotel before the gig... which could be a fancy hotel, or a lot that looks like a big Airstream trailer. You could even have a new mischief interaction for "trash the hotel room."
Also, I'm going to really lose my head here and suggest that Bands + Hotels+ Romance could totally be an EP.

Maybe I am being unduly pessimistic but I don't think they would ever put bands, romance and hotels all in one pack when they could put them in 3 separate packs and generate more revenue.

Oh gosh, I would really love for a bands game pack! I was so sad when there wasn't much about singing/bands in Get Famous so I really hope they add that in with a game pack.
In The Sims 3 celebrities were added in Late Night expansion, but the rest of content was in Sthowime. I hope that this time we will get also Showtime expansion.
Ok so i have some reasons why I think Bands are coming soon, probably for the next Game Pack.
I cant be the only one thinking that the new music festival thing make zero sense without bands. Even in the context of people missing concerts for covid. And it feels like a hint.
Especially cause i am remembering that kpop collab they did, where they featured a mysterious amp object we dont have yet.
And we are getting a group activities update for base game, to go along with Cottage Living. Why make that base game, unless you're going to use it for other things? Bands are a group activity, obviously.
And how can they not do a pack like that asap? They could sell so many Kits just for that alone. New instruments, costumes, regular outfits, stage sets (Ariana Grande Sweet Treats maybe lmao).
It feels like a sure thing to me, like this year. What do you guys think?

If we can have group bands with at least 4 sims, and we can pick the sims for our own group, that would be great, or add out sim to an already created group.

They should add bands and singing and music lessons kids and teens can attend after school, and when your sim is practicing with the band you should be allowed to come along as well because obviously that would be slightly boring if you couldn't. They should also add more instruments like drums, keyboard, bass guitars, electric guitars, trumpets and more. And someone did mention concerts could be a good idea and I think so too! :smiley: And I think you should be able to create your own band or apply to ones you can find online via the computer or phone.

I wonder if they did add live performances, if it would be more like TS2 University/TS3 Late Night where it is a group of four sims playing one of three tracks on loop indefinitely, or like Showtime with one vocalist singing one of 10 songs, with only one of each genre.
Sorry if I'm little cynical, especially as bands were a minor sidething, and really shouldn't be judged as harshly. I'm guessing there would be difficulties in regards in getting a good sound of harmonising vocals with different voices, syncing voices and instruments together and have meaningful gameplay that doesn't run out of content incredibly quickly.
Though it would be good if they finally included an upright piano object, which we haven't had since the Sims 2 base game (though there is a model of one as part of the Get Famous saloon film set). A Nashville themed world seems appropriate as a music city (I recall reading that it is a major centre of songwriting, even outside of the country music genre). Though they are starting to veer away from American style worlds.
Do you guys know if the singing proper celebrities are a thing in the game? I have a sim who collects autographs from celebrities and there were two or three singing celebrities in my game recently just giving impromptu concerts in the neighborhood. They were not mobbed by the paparazzi but the sims cheered them on and listed to their singing and they could sing. I thought it was cute. Maybe they could add bands to Get Famous if they do a refresh of the pack.

I'm... Actually interested? I was not a big fan of KP Sweet Treats, but honestly I'd give anything for a kit that's NOT build/buy.
