Help! Black home screen but music is playing/***** SOLVED******

After updating Orgins and sims, I started the game and it started just fine. i checked the box to allow mods and restarted as usual.Here is where the problem started. the graphics were fine, the plumber was spinning and stuff was loading. when it got to the home screen, it went black. just a black screen with a cursor and i could hear the music that plays on the home screen. i updated MCC and Better exceptions but I'm not sure now what to do. I have never had an issue like this and i have no way to know what went wrong. Im assuming it has to be a mod issue . Anyone else have this issue?
