As the titles says...

Ma Take:

1. SimsSpawnOverhaul - NO more Eliza Pancakes in friggin windenburg. Thank you very much.

2. ControlAnySim - every NPC at any given time you can just easily unselect them. Because the autonomy of these NPC are getting on my nerves. And i play with autonomy off.

3. LittleMsSam - AutoEmployee: it just got very annoying to always hire someone at the community lot for the food stand etc. Gives more freedom

4. Invite anyone to a party/kids can throw partys

5. Stormmoodlettweak

Peewalk only for kids... had to squeeze that in.

    5 - sim teleporter/poseplayer: for taking screenshots

Just like you, my number one essential mod is Sim Spawn Overhaul by Lotharihoe. I can't play without it! Others favorites are: More Columns in CAS, Old School CAS Room by Little Dica, Ring Up Customers at Register (cLineLy), Required Degree for Promotions by Zero and Don't Turn my Sims Into Spellcasters by Zero.

I don't really play with mods cause like i don't wanna break my long save again when something stops working and glitches everything in generation ???

and im too lazy with my mod management to escape that fate

but here a list of what I would add if i had the courage

    1. slow dancing mod
    2. slow dancing mod
    3. slow dancing mod
    4. slow dancing mod
    5. I guess t.o.o.l seems kinda cool perhaps

I don't have mcc and ui mods.

    1. have some personality please - no idle chatter, conversations are autonomous
    2. control autonomy - only to disable autonomous memory erase for my aliens
    3. some cc
  • UniqueKhaosUniqueKhaos Posts: 470 Member
    1. Slice of Life
    2. Granny’s cookbook
    3. SimsDa dating mod
    4. “BD” aka A mod that can’t be mentioned here by name
    5. Life’s Tragedies

Mods are very necessary for me. I let my sims live semi realistic tortured lives. They live, they die, they divorce, they get kidnapped, they develop bad habits. Definitely keeps my game interesting.

    Slice of Life
    Slow Dancing
    More CAS columns
    Better Babies and Toddlers
    Extracted Face Presets
Hard to choose because my game is heavily modded
  • permanentrosepermanentrose Posts: 3,789 Member
    1. Playable pets mod (I love that I can direct my pets to interact with sims, other pets, and the environment!)
    2. Pose player/teleporter (Really, the teleporter is amazing. You can use it to summon any sim to wherever you want them to be standing, super convenient and fast when you want to interact with a sim not in your household)
    3. T.O.O.L (awesome for editing lots in the off grid area)
    4. Invisible bassinet mod (I love using CC cribs and being able to move my babies from crib to crib so they can be in different parts of the house)

Eh, can't think of a 5th one, so those ones are really my top choices that I don't like playing without. MCCC is forever my favorite mod though

    This is hard to choose!

    1) Move, Sort & Hide Interactions https://modthesims.info/download.php?t=652181
    2) Control Any Sim https://modthesims.info/download.php?t=634595
    3) Auto Shorter Teens https://modthesims.info/download.php?t=642260
    4) Social Activities https://littlemssam.tumblr.com/post/175408773833/social-activities-visit-friends-family-and
    5) Zero's Occult mods https://withoutweight.wixsite.com/zerocomics/zero-sims4mods

It's impossible for me to choose which of Zero's mods is the best one to me... I really tried too lol. If I MUST, maybe Vampire Witches. It's a very hard decision!

I could also add just all bug fixes for these. I really couldn't play without those. :#

    - More columns in CAS
    - Selectable Pets
    - Show/Search Sims Info
    - No ask for advice parenthood (this unlocks the interaction to be player directed)
    - Removed plumbob for occults (I find them discriminating, wish there was a mod that gives occults normal grave markers, too)
  • taydevtaydev Posts: 912 Member
    my must haves:
    -holiday home mod
    -more columns in cas
    -height slider
-don’t wash dishes/prep food where you angry poop
    -pose player/teleporter

    honorable mentions:
-free cam in build and buy
    -more venues
-a couple of others I can’t remember the name of right now

I also use UI cheats and MCC, but might remove the latter.

My most essential mods besides Mcc/UiCheats/Meaningful Stories:

    1-Personality Please by PolarBearSims
    2-Slice Of Life by KawaiiStacie
    3-SimdaDatingApp by LittleMsSam
    4-Whimsoverhaul by Sims4me
    5-Road To Romance by Lumpinou

  • VeeDubVeeDub Posts: 1,862 Member
My most essential is MCCC; I won't play without it other than for testing purposes, period.

Besides that, my must haves are several by LittleMsSam (more than 5, lol), several by Bienchen (again more than 5!), a bunch of CC (by many creators, and waaay more than 5), Sacrificial's Passionate Romance (and the Slow Dance one too), and a NSFW one we can't talk about.

I clearly suck at making "top x number' lists.
FYI: Just because you can see my signature, don't assume that I can see yours.
Because I can't; I keep all sigs turned off. ;)

(I do use both MCCC and Meaningful Stories, but I see those in the subject line)

    I am currently using
-the full SimRealist suite, which includes Organic Hair, Mortem, SNB, SNB Bills and Private Practice. They are AWESOME.
    -SCCO. Cooking Overhaul
-Wonderful Whims. (I wanted the attraction system, more interesting and challenging to pick a partner.. also gives individuals a couple extra custom traits)

T.o.o.l since I found out how useful it is in posing sims!

More CAS columns in a life saver when you have tons of cc. Very hard to go without it

Adult can carry kids by sofmc9 this is probably my number one. It's a feature I always wanted and I use it almost every play session. When the kids are tired after a long outing, when the kids are spoiled brats and just don't want to walk etc. Love mods that add more bonding between sims.

Realistic kids by zulf I think her name is. One of my top because kids can do hardly anything. And with this I can finally play my orphanage properly and kids just have more to do.

Height slider. Don't think I can do without it. LOVE the variety of having sims of all sizes.

Very hard to choose just 5 lol
Zombies, oh please oh please give us zombies!! :'(

It's difficult to choose just five...

    1. More CAS Columns by weerbesu - makes you choose how many columns you can have in CAS. Maxis should add this to the base game.

    2. Body and Face Presets by Zerbu - gives you loads of presets of bodies, eyes, mouths etc. Very useful if you like to make different sims in CAS.

    3. Fitness controls by roBurky - gives you the option to change a lot how sims gain and lose weight, but I use it mostly so unplayed sims don't gain or lose weight.

    4. Faster Eating Drinking by Cyclelegs - sims eat food much faster, this mod makes it so much easier to get anything done.

    5. All Cheats by TwistedMexi - adds back many useful cheats that Maxis removed.

  • telemwilltelemwill Posts: 1,752 Member
    Whimsoverhaul
    Zerbu's Go to School mod
    A teen height preset
    Slow dancing
A mod that adds an attraction and personality system

I also use lots of small mods by LittleMsSam and Bienchen. And I love the mods/cc by Pandasama for children. The children's bike is the best!

I think the last time I had mods in my game, I had MCC and Meaningful Stories, but also:

    1. Simda dating app
    2. Alcoholic bar drinks
    3. More CAS columns
    4. Unlock CAS hidden and locked items

I may have had one or two other basic mods, but I can't remember for sure.

The other mods for that are essential are

    More CAS Collums
More personally please and automatic first kiss by polarbearsims.
Whimsoveehaul and some small mods by bienchen
Show Sim Info mod very useful for finding all your sims hidden traits and moodlets
A lot of mods from LittleMssam like simda dating, some of her bugfixes and first love
Woohoo Wellness, Contextual Social Interactions by Lumpinou
    Wunderful Whims by Turbodriver
some small mods from Zero and Scarlet
    Smarter Walkbys by Lotharioh

Was gonna list just 5 but I have too many essentials :D

    - Auto shorter teens/height sliders
    - More CAS columns & no cc icon
    - Make all worlds residential
    - K-hippie more realistic grass/plant textures
    - TOOL mod
    - Lothariho Night 2 loading screen override
    - Quieter lot loading music (I hate how deafening it is)
    - No more slow pee walk - sims run when they're desperate
    - TS2 & TS3 intro - it adds the ea logo and the sul sul! as you boot up the game
    - NPCC
    - Hair color sliders

Ehmm...yes MCCC and Meaningful Stories. And also..

*little droplets of yay I’m an adult sweat forming on face...

    1. Height sliders and body hair by LUUMIA (I’m well aware of the fact that I cheated there)
    2. Facial sliders & body presets by Obscurus
    3. NSFW by a guy
    4. NSFW by this other lad
    5. NSFW by what’s his name.

Let’s say I’m not always using those last 3. But they always need to be available. Although my sims do smoke a lot. 😇

  • HoveraelHoverael Posts: 1,230 Member
    MCCC
    Meaningful Stories
    NPCC
    Unlocked lot traits
    Tmex's cheats.
    SetFiltersOnPaintingsByReference
Several other adult and body mods.

This gives me greater control over the lives of my sims and the world around them.

i have one cc outside of this for certain blinds, because the selection of curtains on this game is so utterly abysmal and especially for the largest windows on apartments, i'm forced to use such a mod to gives my sims appropriate privacy from outsiders looking in. If Maxis ever get around to creating curtains of their own that fit all manner of window sizes they have, i won't need this mod any more.

In no particular order and excluding those already in the title...
    • Caradriel's Better Babies and Toddlers
    • KawaiiStacie's Education System and Explore Mod
    • Lumpinou's Woohoo and Wellness
    • TurboDriver's Wonderful Whims

Many others would get honorable mentions, but it's been hard enough to pick these favorites. :p
