This year we got the tiny homes stuff pack, giving us tools for building; the eco lifestyle expansion pack, with a community aproach; knifty knitting with some kind of homey content and star wars game pack, with sci fi content.
I guess the main theme won't be about anything that already was featured this year, so no building, homey, community or sci fi focus.
This is like the farming pack all over again. While winter vacations sound nice, it could really be another star wars pack. Read somewhere that Disney is building another hotel/starship experience park, they'll probably need to advertise that too. Not that I would complain if they did.
I’m hoping it will be a wedding/romance/vacation pack with 3 to 4 small neighborhood worlds. One winter vacation world for skiing, sledding etc. one summer/ island vacation world, with surfing and romantic hotels/ venues. Maybe another world with national monuments or even amusement parks. Good point. There should be 11+13 lots...my mind keeps going to GP not EP with winter/honeymoon packs, but it could be a decent sized world. Exciting.

We need worlds with 20+ lots, imo. 11-13 doesn't give you a lot to work with, especially if you want to make it a self-sustaining neighborhood.

I reeeally don't think EA would ever give us that much content in a sims 4 EP
I'm hoping it's an Alpine pack with a snow covered world 24/7 and hotel/B&B game play.
As for Generations, haven't they already stated that they wouldn't do another Generations type pack for S4?
I don't think it will be a Romance pack. They just patched in the ability to hold weddings in "romantic" spots, like the islands. And, to make sims appear romantic, they would need to overhaul the emotions system as sims change emotions on a dime and any romantic feelings would disappear just as quickly as they appeared. I still have married sims from two different households, who, to my knowledge, have never "met" in game, showing up at restaurants for dinner together.
IMO, the biggest issue is the sims multitasking programming. I think it has caused the quick changes in emotions and stopping one thing that you have queued up, to do something totally at random. Until that is overhauled, nothing will work properly.
A winter vacation pack sounds a bit *specific* to me for an Expansion Pack. I think a generic Vacation theme would make it as an EP, but to particularly focus on a Winter resort would fit more into a GP, like Jungle Adventure or Outdoor Retreat.
If you have Seasons, a holiday type pack could relate to it with different holidays every Season, or if in Winter a warm holiday destination to escape to and vice versa.
All I hope for now is a more cheerful pack than the last expansion.

Yes, I agree. I'm the type of player that likes to stick to one world where possible, so functional worlds are a must for me.
Knowing what the devs are like though, they'll give us a 20+ lot world, and put one community venue in it. That venue will be a bar because no other community venue exists in the Sims 4.
