So I was finally able to get some builds into my new Batuu save file, I decided to renovate Oasis Springs instead of Strangerville because it's just easier with every lot being buildable and less fake building all over the place.

So here's the first residential lot I built. It was supposed to be a simple, grungy starter home but ended up to be more of an upscale fancy place with all the bells and whistles. I wanted to showcase the pack's BB items in a way that still keeps with the Batuu/Tatooine style, but doesn't necessarily scream "grungy Star Wars"... almost like a spanish adobe style with a splash of futuristic flare to keep with the Batuu/Tatooine overall look and consistency throughout my town.

@Duvelina That's adorable, they match! I love the droids in this pack. ❤️

@AncientMuse I love that house! I feel like I need to change one of my Oasis Springs neighborhoods so I can put some Star Wars builds there. Some of you great builders have posted stuff that I really want to play with, lol.

I'm really enjoying Batuu and the missions it comes with, but what I am noticing is that there's not a lot of autonomous things to do for my sims there. My sim is constantly on Batuu but sometimes I want her to go and do things on her own, but all she can do is dance along with the music in the cantina or interact with sims who walk away pretty quickly.

I just felt like sharing because I LOVE it when my sims do stuff autonomously. I wish there were more objects on Batuu for sims to interact with on their own. Anyone have any ideas on how to make that better?

You could add more interactable objects to the buildable lots. Also, I think sims on Batuu are programmed to not spend too much time in one lot. I added computers to the basement of the cantina and Hondo is the only one who spends most of his time there. Other sims just come, play a little and then leave.

Yaretzi finally kissed her stormtrooper after a long interrogation by his colleagues and wasn't too happy to be transported back home immediately afterwards. She's unsure whether Batuu was real or a figment of her imagination.

I added a yoga mat, fire pit and garden under the cantina. Hondo spends a little time roasting marshmallows, yoga poses, and I've seen him doing something with the garden.

Back to working on Batuu and thought I'd share a build I'm working on. It will eventually be a resistance or scoundrel home. I'm still working on the outside for now. I enjoy the Batuu cave working on other lots.

Ooh! That's really cool! I love the use of ladders for a more high rise, "hard to get to" hideout. <3

I didn't know the cave works elsewhere, that's awesome!

This is the first build ever that I'm sharing on the Gallery. It's a Star Wars inspired Beach base called 'Star Wars Beach Base' (very original again). This build is a residential that has enough space for a household of 3, but it's easy to convert into a more family friendly home. It has a basement level courtyard with a workshop for building 'droids' and brewing juice. It also has a medium sized greenhouse, a piranha pond and a little room for spying on folks. I had to place the bathroom in the 'comtower' because somehow I always forget to plan room for all the private business. I mean who needs a toilet?

No CC, No MOO. It does use a good bit of DLC though...
    My origin ID is: CPTN_NXR7

@CAPTAIN_NXR7 .... This is a really awesome build and I like it a lot. Nice job.

    @LiELF

Thank you for directing me to this thread from the one I made asking if anyone had made a Home-world into completely Batuu..

While not totally being against the Batuu pack I honestly could not see how I would incorporate it into my current game style play and simply held off purchasing until I was perusing the gallery for a specific lot and noticed SarahLaCroix's 20x15 Batuu Oasis bar and thought these objects look so good but I refuse to purchase just for that. Then another couple days went by and I noticed a sims brother & sister by eimajunknown and started to waiver again however I wanted a home-world Batuu style world but could not decide between strangerville or Oasis springs but could not come to any firm conclusion lol

In the end I dedicated a small area to Batuu and steampunk in the corner of Oasis Springs so if you squint you can see the tiniest batuu area on the Oasis Springs map to the right-)

    cPEcUd3.png

This brother & sister visited the local Batuu oasis bar mentioned above along with a ton of sims that also find it appealing to visit..(not as many as normal when i took the pic-)

    bV3Ko78.png

This is the outdoor look of the bar I cannot believe the creator fitted such a look into a tiny 20x15 lot :)

    b2lzJdm.png

I placed the brother & sister into a 20x15 Tatooine lot by marion0308 which has more than enough room for a bigger family and then sent my sims to batuu itself..

    8VmqQ5C.png

The cantinas or bar was awesome along with the characters that were hanging around..

    vkSU01d.png

My sims loved doing this :)

    mJln2Zc.png

and when they came home I loved having my sims bringing their new friends with them that would follow them everywhere -)

    TvzKpBw.png

I am enjoying it much more than I ever thought possible :)

Now off back to sorting out the Eco living play :D

@SPARKY1922 Glad you could join us! :)

Thanks for sharing your screenshots and the build info, it all looks awesome! I think I was just looking at that same bar lot on the Gallery recently, so it's great to see a good picture of it, I'll probably use it myself. Oasis Springs works so well with Batuu, I can't wait to do some transformations when I have time.

Happy to see you're enjoying the pack too, I think it's a lot of fun!

Looks great! @SPARKY1922. I like the look of your Oasis Springs as a whole. What did you do with Strangerville? Anything special or do you have the original lots there?

    Hi @BlkBarbiegal

Thank you I am quite OCD about world looks/lots/sims having to match and when Strangerville came out I played the hero once and just knew I wanted to keep the world in it's mother state which I really enjoy playing in with it's conspiracy sims/military sims plus taking sims from other worlds to eat at the Alien diner with an outside porch area where they ooh and ahh at the surrounding floating mother debris while they eat :)

Then Batuu came out and I thought just no it does not appear to fit in with my personal game-play but once I tried it I was hooked but would really like a full Batuu home-world to play in with the occasional visit too Batuu itself but i cannot make up my mind whether to dedicate the whole/part of oasis springs or part or the whole of the strangerville world as this world map is smaller.

It took me ages to make OS look jungle like because I love the style so I am not sure I want to entirely lose that theme either.. what a conundrum lol

this is lsarpgitas's area 5-10 diner with the porch in ST and my sims just love it..

    ii0dzl7.png

I have a tiny 20x15 outdoor nightclub that my sims from all worlds adore with a bar on the side by creator ratmountain..

    nMpcRm8.png

I have townies living in Run-Down Apartments 30x20 by gravysims

    A6G3O3V.png

I see the whole top area of the strangerville map to do anything with I wish but I am not certain if it would look good in the theme of batuu style if i dedicated it to that theme.. that's why in another thread I was asking what other players may have done to gain some further ideas :)

So Johnny Zest hit the jackpot in the Batuu Lottery and was able to do a complete makeover of his rundown trailer home. He now has a separate building for entertaining guests with his stand-up comedy routines and guitar jams, a small pool in the back yard... and of course, his shiny new (okay maybe not so shiny and not so new) red and black Landspeeder!

And now that he's rolling in the dough, he decided to change his name to Johnny Quest:

"Do you need a new flux capacitor so you can get your Starfighter back in the air? Did you lose everything in your last Sabacc game and don't know how you're going to pay your bills? No problem! Just call Johnny Quest and he'll fulfill your every Batuu need.... (for a nominal fee, of course). Call 1-800-Scoundrel and let our sales specialists help you today!"

    *cough*

The newly renovated Oasis Springs gym... now known as the Jedi Training Centre (still a gym).

    It has two levels:

    - the ground floor features a towering central entryway with a small dedicated Jedi antiques display area, a quiet reading corner, mini cantina for cold refreshments and relaxing with your pals, public washrooms, and a wee sleeping quarters for when any Jedi-In-Training has worked out so hard they need to rest their sore muscles for a while.

    - the basement level features a fully loaded gym with state-of-the-art 27th century equipment, swimming pool, b-ball court, rock climber, sauna, massage beds, locker rooms w/showers, and your very own private specialty Jedi Training Room™ for all your lightsaber sparring needs.

The central tower features an open three-story high view up to the starry night sky above (for keeping a watchful eye out for that nasty Kylo's TIE Silencer ship!).

    @AncientMuse

Your builds are awe inspiring and from looking at your pics fit in really well in Oasis Springs. I love the gym with The private glassed-in Jedi Training Room that's a really good idea :)

Are your builds on the gallery at all for future reference as I am playing offline right now before going through the next round of madness that is all things patches :)
